+View from balcony were fabulous
−The tv did not work. Light switch in the kitchen could not be found. The walk to town was on a very very bad road/track that if it rained would be a washout.

“Nice house with beautiful view and huge terrace”
+View to the lake from own terrace was incredible. Property was good size for 4 persons and good bonus was garage in the basement of the house. Because the house was 1km away from the Menaggio centrum it was also really quiet. As well property is exactly like described and shown in the pictures.
−Few things were broken or shappy, but nothing so critical that we could not live with those issues. But anyhow is affecting to the experience during the stay.

“Apartment with a beautiful view within 10 min walking from the Menaggio ferry station.”
+The view is indeed beautiful. It’s also great to have a garage to park your car.
−The kitchen equipment (e. g. gas oven, coffee machine) is not working properly. In general it’s not the best choice if you plan to cook something.

“Could be much nicer.”
+View and secure parking.
−The apartments is in need of a makeover with many items beyond their best including the main bed. Better bedding would help. As it’s an older apartment with some full time residents there is a lot of noise from above and next door. Walk into town would not be suitable for many as it’s steep and uneven.

“Average, wouldn’t recommend.”
+The view and the apartment was spacious.
−Only 1 in 4 hobs worked in the kitchen. We were not warned about the very steep, unsteady track we would have to make to the apartment with our luggage and with no available taxis that day, it was a very tough climb. The apartment was not clean - clearly hadn’t been hoovered and a couple of towels had stains.

“The villa is only a terrace, the rest is a misunderstanding.”
+View from the terrace. Even without a car, a short walk down the village was ok
−An ugly, typical in Italy smell from the bathroom. The next day, some air and it was bearable. We had to scald the dishes and cutlery with boiling water because everything was sticky. So much so that while boiling water due to its technical condition, it burned out, throwing out the corks in the control panel outside the house. Television remembering the 90s. The microwave didn't work, the oven is another state of mind. The fridge is clean and very ok.

“Incredible view! Too far from city.”
+The view is just as beautiful as the photos - really unreal!! The facilities are also good - the beds are comfortable, the rooms are big, the bathroom is well equipped and everything inside works well. We enjoyed our stay!
−The location is about 10 minutes driving from the center of Menaggio on steep, windy and confusing roads. To walk to the port/center from the apartment, it takes about 15 minutes which isn’t too bad but you walk on a dirt road that can be a bit creepy at night with no lights. It’s not a pretty stroll down a side street like I thought it might be. I wish we had stayed closer to the city center.
