“Peaceful, serene location with easy access to the coast or local villages, waterfalls, swimming spots in surrounding are”
+The serenity, we had visits from the wildlife - possums, wallabies, turkeys. Could hear chooks & roosters, goats! The moon rising was amazing! Bed was so comfy, slept right through even on the first night which is unusual (different surroundings) Highly recommend staying at The Upper House.
−We dont watch free to air tv but couldnt stream to tv or watch Youtube. Might have been user error not sure.

+The Upper House is the perfect place for a relaxing time away. The house is well equipped with all amenities, clean, quiet, beautiful view and very clear information from owner as to access and contact if we needed any questions answered. Our new favourite place. Thank you Sara 😊

“Surrounded by wildlife”
+The location is beautiful, outlook is lovely and surrounded by quintessential Australian wildlife. Good to have an oven and gas stove as we like to cook.
−Our first impression of the great view went downhill as we were met with a handful of evidence of the previous guests. At bedtime when we tried to lock the second front door discovered that it could not be locked. We sent a message to management first thing, they came and confirmed it was broken and gifted us a candle to apologise for the lack of cleanliness due to their cleaner being injured. By the afternoon we were politely advised the lock would not be fixed same day. So we were unsecured both nights. Staff were responsive to our messaging and assured us that after we left it would be thoroughly cleaned. So the next guests will have the experience we were going for - a spotless luxury getaway and sound sleep. Navigating to the toilet at night is tricky. Stairs and no rail.

“Very cool private villa with excellent views, all necessary amenities and well located close to town”
+Excellent location and just 5 minutes from entry of Maleny. Great views. Great space, very cool design. Every amenity you would need. Fire place was excellent on the cold nights. Wallabies within 2 metres of the villa. Maddie and Sara were very helpful and excellent to deal with.

“Peaceful location and close to Maleny”
+A very well located and peaceful location close to Maleny. A wallaby even coming to visit while we enjoyed the view by the fire. Everything was very clean and the lounge was a good size and very comfortable.
−The bed was firmer than we wanted it to be but maybe it’s still too new? The steps up to the toilet and shower are not ideal without a hand rail especially, so you need to be careful. This is only a concern if you got out of the bath with wet feet or if you actually needed to rush to the toilet for whatever reason.
