−Could do with some games of some Sort especially as we had a power cut for 3 hours. Not the hosts fault though

“Fabulous place for a couple or family with children”
+Fabulous little cottage. We were only there for 3 days as we were doing the Cancer Research Peak District Marathon Hike. There’s a lovely little hotel pub that serves great food 5 minutes walk from the cottage and Bakewell is only 10 minutes in the car. Plenty to see and do in a beautiful area.
−The only problem was the lack of blinds on the skylight windows in the bedrooms as it was mid summer so got dark very late and was light by 4:30am which made sleeping difficult.

+This was a well-equipped, clean cottage with modern facilities in a quiet and secluded location. A great place for visiting the Peak District, particularly Bakewell and Chatsworth.

“Lovely break in the Peaks. Would definitely go back.”
+Well equipped, comfortable and great location. The cottage was small and situated in a courtyard with other properties facing but it was quiet and peaceful. The pub down the lane was lovely, we would not have known it was there but for the brilliant information provided on everything you need in the area. The views out over the river valley were spectacular.
−Could not get the shower to heat up and was slippy under foot, although the hosts were great so would have helped us out if we'd had time to message. There's no parking at the cottage and I was worried about this I have limited mobility. But you can load and unload and then park on the street and this worked absolutely fine.

“Very good place to stay.”
+The house was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The shower was good and there was plenty of hot water when we needed it. The house was warm and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped. My friend said the mezzanine room was better than it looked in the pictures and she was quite comfortable in there and didn't have major trouble with the headroom. Parking nearby was easy. An advantage of the parking restriction is that there aren't lots of cars coming and going. Access from the village to the 'main' roads and countryside was good. I would stay there again.
−The heating tiimer didnt seem to be working so we operated it manually when we needed it. The left button on the oven was dodgy and we struggled to turn off the oven after using it. It would have been nice to have a decent size coffee table in the middle of the living room.

+The location, and the property are lovely. Spoke to the owner and she was extremely nice too.
−This has nothing to do with the property or the owner. Just taxis in the location were impossible to get hold of, one was booked and didn't turn up, others didn't answer. So rather than a complaint, this is advice, pre-book well in advance if you need to head into the town.
