“Excellent apartment in the center of Mudgee”

“Comfortable and great location”
+Everything, good-sized bedroom and comfortable bed. Great place with the fireplace. It was nice to have breakfast ingredients with the place.
−The shower, would have been way nicer to have a stronger pressure shower.

+Lovely apartment with plenty of space, great location.
−Unfortunately an alarm of some sort started sounding in the internal lift at about midnight, resulting in a very disrupted sleep. Was looking forward to my bottle of local wine on arrival but it was nowhere to be found, and there was also a loaf of Coles bread just left on the island bench randomly. Keep in mind the entry is through a shared outdoor space with a ground floor residence, so we were greeted by a couple of small barking dogs, which was no issue but something to be aware of. Also would help if a small foldaway clothes line of some sort was provided, we were there for a sporting tournament and had nowhere to hang washed clothes. Nothing major, the apartment has a lovely feel to it and the location is perfect.

+Main living areas beautifully decorated. Back balcony a lovely area to sit (luckily). Nice touch of a heated towel rail in bathroom (if you find the switch by accident)
−No call back from the host when the hot water in kitchen not heating & kitchen sink was backing up (finally found the switch to turn on sink mechanism behind a vase of flowers in kitchen), no washing up detergent (sponge & scourer supplied) only dishwasher tablets. Butter container in fridge (empty) to go with breakfast supplied. Advised by host on day of arrival that the front balcony is unusable as undergoing repairs - not a problem but when the host says they will compensate you with another bottle of wine and don't plus the noise of the scaffolding! Shower needs to be cleaned properly (hair in water drain).

+The Accommodation is central, well appointed with new kitchen bathroom and nicely decorated.
−We were advised by text before arrival the dishwasher was out of order, not a problem - however on arrival there was no running cold or hot water in the kitchen. We advised owner immediately and were told to use the kettle for cleaning up in kitchen. We expressed with 2 kids and intent to breakfast at apartment for 3 mornings it wasnt ideal and asked if just cold water could be fixed the next day, but was advised impatiently "No Andrew ....and I did text you...", (having no kitchen water at all is a bit different to no dishwasher). Subsequently both of us scolded our hands trying to clean kitchen before checkout, its simply not practical to try to keep refilling a kettle and cooling it down while trying to cleanup before a checkout time. The Gas for all hot water ranout on the second morning. This was resolved by the owner by afternoon but meant no hot showers that morning. Not major but there is no information or instructions on using appliances (fireplace, heating etc) or any local information (maps, pamphlets etc), always helpful when you use self contained apartments. Combined issues with no offer of recompense and impatient tone to the kitchen water issue left us unimpressed.
