+The Rock is a cool apartment in a fantastic location. It is very spacious and the room inside a cave is very unique. The apartment does not get much natural air and smells a bit moldy.
+One of a kind accommodations. Spacious, charming, and good character. Dario was very responsive. Great area extremely walkable transit nearby and may great restaurants steps away.

“Worst vacation rental I've ever had, dishonest hosts and unhelpful customer service”
+Great Location, but that's about it.
−The power was out to this unit when we arrived, the host tried telling us first that it'd be fine if we didn't use the kitchen, but the main breaker kept tripping. Since we couldn't very well sleep in a dark apartment with no light or AC we ended up booking an alternate property at our own expense. The host as since lied to booking.com and said that we completed our "stay", despite the fact that we returned the keys to him in under an hour. They've also lied and said the power was out to the entire area, which is also completely untrue, the issue was with something short circuiting in the unit and tripping the main breaker for Unit #10. I think the larger issue is that they only showed up right as we were getting to the property. They were doing the last cleaning touches and trying to sort the power as we were arriving. Generally I'm used to hosts that check the property over in advance so they aren't caught on the back foot by things like this. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, and recognize that it's difficult to resolve an electrical issue at 8pm at night. −We were met by a young man in a very, very difficult to find courtyard; He immediately told us that we could not leave our car in the front, for even a moment, even though we explained that our luggage needed to be unloaded; As a result of telling us that we had to move immediately, I instead chose to take the one minute to unload said luggage; I was directed to a parking garage where I placed our car; With this young man exhibiting very obvious reluctance, he helped me bring the luggage inside the front door We discovered that the bedroom was on the second floor (up a difficult to maneuver stairway), he reluctantly helped me with the smaller of our two suitcases; As a 78 year old, I had to drag the remaining suitcase up these stairs…WHILE HE SIMPLY WATCHED!; In rapid fire, he showed my wife around, leaving her with utmost confusion. (My wife is a very smart, well educated, perceptive woman); We were left to assume that he must have had a "hot" date awaiting his arrival; The toilet in our bedroom had a loud, constant flushing noise; The towels were akin to drying ourselves with a loufa sponge as that is how scratchy and stiff were the towels; Lest I forget to mention, the parking g
+A really wonderful apartment to stay in. It has large open rooms and was very cool from the hot sunshine outside. Independent air conditioning for downstairs and upstairs. A very simple walk to the bay - four minutes and two restaurants on your doorstep. Excellent.

+Location was great.
−Apartment was dirty, mouldy and damp. Toilet and bathroom were filthy. It did not match the photos provided. Paint was peeling off the walls in many locations. Some tiles were cracked and were dangerous for children. There were also numerous holes in the wall.

+The location of this property is excellent, I have stayed in Naples many times always in the Historical Centre but never in Chiaia. Access to many great cafes & bars & my favourite restaurant was only a short walk away, plus we found some new ones. The taxi rank is just around the corner which was so convenient!
−Ok so there were a few issues … If you’re planning a long stay there is no washer, the closest laundromat is 25mins away so not ideal. The set out of the apartment is very cool, however, it is very musty with flakey walls & rising damp so if you have respiratory issues not a great idea. My sister & I couldn’t keep the big doorway window open upstairs where we slept unfortunately as there were men outside our window every morning & during the day, which was very annoying & loud especially as it faced straight at the bathroom. Three days into our arrival there was major work started on the building which was quite unsafe getting in and out of the complex, it also gave way to more dirt & dust in the apartment as the drilling etc made the falling debris from the walls worse. We lost our hot water several times due to the building works as well as a stench from the drains. Beware, there is a very cranky, nasty woman that lives in the building that will have a go at you for no reason in particular, of course this has nothing to do with the owner, but does leave a bad taste in your mouth.

“it is good to stay a few days”
+i liked the fact that is is very central, close to everything that you need for a vacantion and the place is very interesting and big. it is clearly a special place
−the bathroom needs to be repaired. it has a moldy smell and the upstairs toliet is very loud. also, you don’t have phone signal and it is kind of cold inside (good only if you travel during the summer)
