“House has character and well located in pretty village.”
+The house is nicely decorated and the location perfect
−As others have said, none of the windows could be opened and as the weather was unexpectedly hot this made it uncomfortable. As said before the door and only exit/entrance in case of a fire, should have an easy latch and not require a key to open it.

−The bathroom was very cold due to a window that didn’t close. So couldn’t have a bath. It was a quick shower and get out.

+Excellent location, lovely little village with all you need for a holiday!
−The only thing that I can grumble about is it could do with a deep clean. For example, Some of the light fittings had a fair few cobwebs on them and when put my hand down the head of the bed for the plug socket/extension cable there was a build up of dust

“Nice old property in Crail”
+The property was bigger and more spacious than expected.
−I privately messaged the owners Steven and Sarah to let them know the following points but didn’t get a reply hence I have to include them in my review. Lack of communication. There was no welcome pack so you should probably remove this from your information. The WiFi code isn’t in the information book and took a while to find. The bathroom wasn’t clean - toilet and sink. The bathroom window doesn’t open. The ropes on the sash and case windows are broken making it difficult to open the windows especially when we needed them open for the hot weather. There were only 4 forks. Luckily we had extra in our camper van. The front door mats were worn and could do with being replaced. The pop up bin lid doesn’t work. The front door lock is fiddly and difficult to lock. This is also the wrong type of lock for a short term let under the new licensing requirements as there should be a thumb turn lock on the inside. There was no fire blanket in the kitchen. There was only one smoke detector in the stairs and it was in the wrong place. You should have smoke detectors on each floor in the stairs one in the living room and a heat detector in the kitchen all interlinked. Extra emergency lights on t
