“Amazing apartment in adorable Hexham”
+I don’t know where to begin, super cute apartment, spacious, well appointed, clean. They’ve preserved the history of the building adding in tasteful upgrades. Great communication with owner and lovely welcome items when we arrived.

+the location is excellent, and kitchen was well stocked. plenty of room for 2 couples.
−the en-suite bathroom - the shower is tiny and if you were 6ft 3 there would be no chance of fitting under the shower. Also the tiny sink, the water in the shower didn't run away and filled the shower tray up to the top . Decor in the double room was a bit hap- hazard with creasing in the corners!

“The photos don’t do the property justice. The Candlemakers is a beautifully quirky property.”
+The location was perfect for us: we needed a base for walking Hadrian’s Wall. We were pleasantly impressed with the property, the high quality of the furnishings and the decor and we loved the quirkiness of the building. The Candlemakers had everything we could have wanted, it was warm, comfortable and relaxing. Our just had thoughtfully provided us with artisan bread from ‘The Grateful Bread’ bakery in Hexham and also ground coffee from another local shop; those little touches meant a great deal to us and encouraged us to seek out more local shops.
−We had a small problem with a water leak behind the cistern in the en-suite. We had noticed that the floor was constantly wet. It wasn’t until water was found dripping through to the ceiling below that we realised the scale of the problem. Despite the lateness of the hour we phoned our host who reassured us and told us she’d sort it in the morning.

“Charming location in a charming town that was a perfect base for walking Hadrians Wall.”
+We chose the Candlemaker for its proximity to the Hadrians Wall transport bus, as well as its ability to comfortably hold our group. We were so pleasantly surprised as nice as the pictures are it is even more charming and spacious in person. The decor is unique and thoughtful. It is a convenient location for shops restaurants, pubs and grocery stores.

“Lovely apartment. Beautifully appointed and furnished. Kitchenware and bedware superb.”
+Perfect location. Beautifully furnished and equipped apartment. Kitchen equipment and utensils were excellent quality, and in the fridge we found a very thoughtful courtesy package (milk,eggs, biscuits jam,etc). Similarly, bedrooms were very comfortable with ample towels, robes, slippers, etc. The host was charm8ng and very helpful. Overall a very happy stay in Hexham. Very highly recommended.

“Exceptional”
+The flat was in a great location on a quiet street near Hexham Abbey. The train station was less than ten minutes walk. The flat was great, The kitchen was well-equipped. The living room had interesting books about the area, comfy seating, games and puzzles. Foosball upstairs in the game room, and three comfortable bedrooms.

“An excellent property in Hexham. .”
+Sarah went beyond what was expected. Not only was the welcome pack exceptional but there were condiments, drinks, household items rarely seen in holiday properties. The linen was of the best quality and the addition of bathrobes and slippers was a perfect touch. The entire house was perfectly clean and comfortable.
−There is nothing negative to say about this property. We had a couple of issues which Sarah dealt with very quickly and to our satisfaction.
