“Exceptional cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location”
+We had a fantastic stay at The Byre and would highly recommend it. The cottage is spacious, immaculately clean and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable home-from-home stay. The two bedrooms are both large and benefit from their own en-suite bathrooms, which made our stay incredibly comfortable. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with all the facilities you could need, and the generous living space provides plenty of room to relax. One of the standout features is the huge secure garden. It was perfect for our dog, allowing him plenty of space to run around safely, while we could relax and enjoy the surroundings. Set at Bogma Hall Farm, the location is peaceful and ideal for exploring the local area, while still being conveniently located. Overall, an excellent property offering comfort, space and great facilities. We would definitely return.

+The position of the property is perfect for visiting different areas of the north east. The A1 motorway link is a stones throw away.

“Had a very pleasant two night break. Easy access from A1M, but very little road noise. .”
+The Byre is a charming, peaceful, cosy cottage. The sofas and beds are really comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, 2 en-suites, large private, tree surrounded gardens perfect for children and dogs. Great nature walks all around Coxhoe and surrounding area and plenty of places to visit in the area. Would be good to have an information pack with details of local amenities, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, walks, places to visit, WiFi code, etc.

“In one word Pleasant.”
+It was quiet, even with a main motorway close by, you couldnt hear it. It was comfortable, warm. Good location that suited out needs.
−No linen change, or linen available to change for 10 day stay. The washing machine had a overpowering musty smell

“Lovely short stay”
+Lovely comfortable cottage, perfect for our short stay. Easy to access the main road. Helpful host. Both bedrooms have an en-suite.
−The kitchen area is a bit snug if more than 1 trying to work in there at the same time. Showers took a bit of time to figure out.

+Very homely and cosy. Well equipped with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Comfy beds, plenty of towels, clean.
−Garden wasn't completely secure so our dog could escape and another dog got into our garden. Not really walkable to Coxhoe village, where there were limited dining options.
