10.0“All that said, a lovely, peaceful week away in a beautiful Dorset cottage.”
+On the plus side, completely faultless and well maintained property. Immaculately clean and tidy and well appointed with everything you might need. Very comfortable bed, easy to use heating and hot water system, great welcome from Jane on arrival and on hand if needed. Fabulously pet friendly too. Good parking is located a short walk from the cottage. Excellent internet access on lower floors, patchy though upstairs.
−However, when booking, be mindful of the 21 stairs from lounge on ground floor to bedroom on third floor and that the property is set across multi-levels. The real issue for us was the lack of full services on the smart TV. BBC iPlayer and Amazon Prime were OK as were the terrestrial channels, however Netflix was a nightmare and would not function at all. We gave up and there was no access available to ITV, C4 and C5 catch up facilities, which was very frustrating. Footnote: After bringing this to Jane's attention after leaving she has written back to say the TV was apparently not compatible with netflix, she discovered after getting someone yo look at it, and a new TV has been ordered.

6.0+The village is a fantastic location for walking and Jane is a superb host. Cottage was cosy and well appointed
−The descriptionstated 3 seperate bedrooms, this is inaccurate, the double room is at the top of the stairs on a large landing and the master is reached by walking through this space. Not convivial for our booking of 4. The outside space is very shaded and very noisy with the road, compared to the other properties in this development whoch look stunning

5.0+The shower was large and the parking easy
−The traffic is disturbing. The A35, on which the house is located, is a very busy road. When I booked the Burrow I didn't realise that to reach the main bedroom and bathroom you have to walk through the 2nd bedroom, which is effectively a double bed on the landing. My mistake as it is described as a "walk through bedroom "!

8.0+Extremely clean and beautifully furnished house. Very comfortable bed and excellent bathrooms. Lovely biscuits provided and some milk plus different condiments. The food from The Clock pub was excellent. Highly recommend it.
−Very small garden for the house but could use other gardens around the property. Traffic noise was noticeable in the main bedroom.

10.0“"Burrow" by name but heaven by nature - a time capsule experience given the modern twist!”
+This little golden nugget of a 16th Century Cottage was nestled right up against a free-flowing main road which runs from Honiton to Dorchester and beyond, but because the property is solidly built and with the bonus of secondary glazing only a hush could be heard from outside at any time. Safe and plentiful parking was accessed via a small turning just past the property. Beds were comfortable and all amenities within the property were meticulously clean and in great working order - kitchen was particularly well stocked with every kind of cooking aid you could ever need. Jane the host also went to the length of providing fresh milk and a lovely box of local biscuits to welcome you in - a thoroughly pleasurable experience all round, so to Jane and her partner i thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your help & assistance during my stay.
−Nothing.

8.0“The Burrow by St Giles”
+Loved the property very quaint & pretty good location. Owner did some nice touches, there was tea, coffee & sugar & a little carton of milk & washing supplies & red sauce etc, I did actually bring stuff but didn't need too.
−The traffic literally shook the cottage, I appreciate its on Main St but from 5am it felt like non stop lorries so if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs. Couldn't turn on the heating the boost didn't seem to work but we had blankets so wasn't the end of the world.
