“A Sicilian country side amid lots of pistachio and olive tree.”
+Maria and Alfredo are super hosts. Our flight has been cancelled two times and the third being delayed. Despite a rough start, they have made us at home by helping us beyond and above, patiently explain us how to get hold of a car and took us to supermarket. The location is secluded with access to a pool and river. The outdoor space is amazing with a Mountain View dinning table, pizza oven and barbecue. Getting to town is easy, going to mount Etna and Catania is around an hour. There is an olive 🫒 mill (Romano V) and pistachio tour nearby. We got loads of olive oil from the mill !

“Absolutely Wonderfull Dream House”
+This place was absolutely wonderful,just 1 meter from the river when it’s full, truly like a dream house. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and charming. The outdoor area is lush and peaceful, surrounded by greenery, yet it’s only a 10-minute drive from Bronte. The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. We will definitely return,highly recommended!

“Restful stay out of town near Etna in pretty garden with birdsong.”
+It is on a farm and so quiet with a little river nearby. One wakes with birdsong. It is well equipped( kitchen etc) and spacious and quite luxurious. The host is very friendly and informative. The prickly pears were ripe and we ate them twice! The swimming pool had been prepared for us specially, but we had no time to swim. A pity!
−Everything was absolutely perfect. There are mosquitoes. She gave us mosquito repellant. The staircase is tricky, and passing through our friend’s room at night was a bit awkward ( bathroom trip) - but we knew that before.

“Tranquil and a hidden jewel in the ever diminishing countryside”
+The location - a place of contemplation, more like a retreat. Mesmerised by river action; frogs, lizards, geckos, snakes, fish, small egrets nesting, foxes… always something to focus the eye on. The pool was a life saver from the heat and the property was constantly cool
−Sat Nav had a tendency to send us across the river, having a house name on the gate would have helped locate the property first time. The spiral staircase was a bit daunting and could do with better H&S at the top, especially if small children stay. Maybe a few more basics such as a corkscrew that worked and a pair of scissors! Can’t really fault the property in any way

+It is a lovely rustic house which is well maintained with modern facilities including air conditioning and in a lovely location right next to a river. It has good private parking and a lovely outside dining area overlooking the countryside and river with wood burning oven and charcoal barbeque. It is accessible directly from a main road. The hosts were very friendly.
−The bedrooms are on the first floor and access is through a small spiral staircase with a shaky hand rail which makes it awkward to access especially with luggage.

“Aanrader voor rust”
+Wat mij betreft een absoluut perfecte locatie als je rust zoekt. Huis is voor twee personen heel ruim en heeft een zeer ruime tuin met voldoende zon en schaduw plekken om te zitten en liggen. Natuurlijk is het zwembad de slagroom op de taart.
−De mieren in de tuin kunnen vervelend zijn (bijten) bij het zwembad. En natuurlijk zijn er 'savonds muggen zo dicht bin de rivier. Maar dat zijn natuurlijke 'problemen' waar we mee moeten leven.
