“Ok for a short stay in Catania”
+Good location, 15mins from the bus/train station, and within walking distance to the attractions. The apartment is spacious and was clean enough.
−Some things are a bit run down, there are some cracks in the shower and around the bathroom. Bedroom is okay if you're short, if you're over 1,70, watch out for your head We tried not to have food, but still got ants. They started I the bathroom and moved to the kitchen. They are the small ones, harmless but still not the nicest to see them walking around the place

+Proximity to city center.
−There are ants of which the owner must know, some sort of professional dezinsection is needed. So the property is on the ground floor, and the door is used for window also and airying. It is a bit weird smelling because of that. I am not very sensible to noises, but the intense activity in the parc outside was very loud and until late in the night, making it difficult to sleep. In the kitchen, we only had some glasses and one cup. So you drink tea one by one :)) Not sure why TV did not work, not upstairs or downstairs. All in all, I did not like at all this acommodation, I did not read carefully the reviews, wish I had.

−Mattress has seen better days (too soft in the middle-we were falling to the middle of the bed) Shower floor was broken. Bathroom door handle was unscrewed (we couldn't close the bathroom door) Hairdryer not working

+The accommodation looked exactly like the photos. Great location. Helpful host. Equipment of the apartment. Stable WiFi connection. Parking on the street next to the apartment.

“Good location & price”
+What I like about the apartment is that it is close to the center of Catania so you can easily walk without using the car. I think the apartment is located in the poor area of Catania, but we didn't have any issues or feel insecure walking home at night. It has two floors: on the base floor it has the kitchen & living room in one room, and then the bathroom with the laundry room inside. On the top floor, there is a double bed and closet. It has air conditioning.
−The only thing we didn't like was that there were ants in the bathroom and living room. It was noticeable that the landlord had used an anti-ants product, and every day a few dead ones appeared. Nothing to worry about, just sweep the floor and that's it.

−Neighbourhood did not feel very safe The accommodation did not have ANY window at all leaving it smelly with mould etc as soon as you walk in. The door has a section you can open as a window but if you do you’re exposed to the outside. There were ants everywhere and no amount of spray could get rid of them. We had to throw our food out on the first day due to this. Even the bath towels has ants all over them! In the bathroom the flush button was broken and didnt always work, the shower head can only go one way and there is no place to hang ANYTHING! Not even your bath towels. The laundry was full of old bed linen needing to be washed and when we opened the washing machine up to use It stunk!! We did not want to put our clothes in that. The neighbourhood is so noisy it’s like the people are in your living space. The loft area where the bed is has a very low ceiling that my partner has to duck when he was up there do it’s very uncomfortable. The bed was uncomfortable and dipped in the middle. The aircon did not work and because there are no windows it was always hot and muggy inside The stairway is wobbly and not safe to take luggage up to bed area so we left our stuff on dinning tab

+Perfect location, very responsive and kind host.
−The humidity in the apartment was really high, it caused a bit unpleasant smell. The neighbours were pretty loud, and the upper floor was lower than we expected, it should be mentioned in the description. We had a problem with ants during last days of our stay. The sofa from the pictures wasn't there.
