“Very good”
+Great apartment. Very comfortable. Easy walk to town.
−I was charged an additional $48 credit card surcharge on arrival which was in no way disclosed prior to arriving at the property. I was told I could only avoid if I paid by cash or NZ direct debit. I would have appreciated being told this beforehand. I was told "it was in the fine print but lots of people don't see it". It was not in the fine print - I went back and checked. The price was meant to include "all fees and surcharges". Very annoying.

“Nice facilities, lacking the special touch”
+Location is good. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Drying closet is helpful. Underfloor heating is fabulous
−Obstructed view of the lake not shown in advertising Key has to be picked up and dropped off at another location No nice touches (no milk, no bathrobes, no typical amenities, no electric blankets) Tiny TV Blinds are centrally controlled so no ability to block public view while keeping the balcony accessible Asked to wash the dishes before leaving 😂 For $800 a night in low season, expected a few nice touches

“Disappointed with our stay.”
+Good location , quiet, plenty of internal space & 3 bathrooms. Lovely outside gas fireplace.
−Limited provision of items that are usually provided when paying for an exclusive apartment - no tea towels , shampoo/ conditioner/ kitchen condiments etc. Quite an impersonal space. Hot tub not situated at flat - in a different block with the swimming pool & communal use - only able to use until 8pm at night ( a bit early in my opinion) & no dressing gowns provided - advertised that there would be. ( could of used these to walk to the pool area ) Outside sitting area small , poor view of lake & very dirty.

“Fantastic property! Would stay again!”
+Stunning property, wonderful location. Beautiful views. Great sized rooms. Very comfortable furniture.
−Really small things that would be easy to be fixed. No shampoo/conditioner provided-would expect this at such a luxury property. The remote to the covered carport had a flat battery- car was stuck inside until we found the spare in a drawer. The staff didn’t tell us the apartment number when we picked up the keys and it was it was wasn’t listed on the key fob. Meant a drive back to the office in town to get in- perhaps put the apartment number on the key to avoid this? Also the rooms to the main bedroom and kitchen can be deadbolted shut so potentially you could get locked into the little entry hall with no way to get back into the main part of the house if you didn’t have the key on your person. We had a close call with this. Seems an unnecessary risk- should be deactivated somehow if possible. This all sounds like a whinge but better to point these little things out. We really loved the property overall and would stay again and recommend it!
