“Wonderful apartment”
+Wonderful apartment, very modern and clean. Air-con worked fantastic and the location is perfect. Big super market a couple of minutes walk away and only 5 minutes walk into the centre.

“Wonderful Sunset house”
+Sunset house is such a beautiful, spacious apartment situated within minutes of bars and restaurants in Alvor. The beach was an easy walk away and the apartment is very well kitted out. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. My children loved the pool!

“The most wonderful holiday”
+I have stayed in Alvor many times but this was by far the best . Location was fantastic and the views were beautiful. The property is definitely my favourite and would love to go back .

“Bad management spoils a lovely place.”
+On the surface the apartment looks fabulous. It is large and appears well-equipped. Fixtures, like the tiling and doors are good quality. It's a shame that the furnishings and maintenance don't match up. The view is great. The garage was large and clean and the lift went down to it. The grounds seemed to be well-maintained. It is a good location, with shops and restaurants nearby, and fairly quiet apart from the adjacent building work which looks like it should be finished soon. The cleaners came weekly to change the towels and sheets.
−There was no-one there when we arrived despite messages beforehand saying our arrival time. We could not contact the owner as the phone number on booking.com didn't work. We were standing in the cold, dark, wet street wondering what to do when the phone rang and the owner said we couldn't go in until the next day due to a problem with the cleaner. She had arranged for a guy to take us to a 'nice hotel', which was anything but. She actually said 'It's not my fault'. If she had just told us earlier in the day, when she must have known the room wasn't ready, we could have had some options, but instead we were just stuck with a fait accompli. The owner did eventually come back and say she would take off three days rent for the trouble which was appreciated but I would still rather not have had the experience. There is no shade on the terrace, which meant we couldn't sit out in the afternoon and the sun also came straight into the lounge and the only remedy was to lower the shutters - not great. There was a sun umbrella in the apartment but we were told the base was down by the pool and that we couldn't bring it up to the terrace. In general the cleanliness and maintenance was not so go

“Relaxing and peaceful, with close proximity to all amenities”
−Where we had an issue with the shutter/blind in main bedroom due to a temperamental push button, when reported, no real investigation was followed. It did start working for a short time, then stopped!

“Amazing Sunset House”
+All the important things were perfect, including location, the apartment, and the sunsets from the balcony.
−Minor items, such as a shower curtain in the ensuite bathroom. Bed matress in main bedroom was a bit firm and a little uncomfortable.
