“A lot of work needs doing to make this property not feel like a run down student property.”
+Keys were easy to find, rooms were all a good size, location is right in the middle of the town so lots of good restaurants and cafes nearby
−Both beds were extremely uncomfortable - master bedroom has a lump running right down the middle of it, second bedroom mattress is one where you can feel every individual triangle spring. Both of us slept terribly when not being fussy about these things usually. Second bedroom, despite having the only double glazed window, unfortunately does suffer from a lot of noise from the train station. This cannot be helped but it's worth knowing. Window or roof area in second bedroom leaked water that dripped on to the window sill all night. The radiator in the living room didn't seem to work so was very cold in October. The whole house is electric radiators that are seemingly not on any timer.

+The location was probably the best feature of this property. Right by the shops and a short walk to the beach. Checking in and out was a smooth process. The living room and bedrooms were very spacious. The beds felt fresh and clean. There is an amazing steakhouse just doors away.
−Parking will always be an issue at this property. I had a warden standing by my car at 9:50am waiting to give me a ticket. Guests need to be mindful of the lack of parking and its restrictions so probably better for those who are not visiting by car. There is the strong smell of illegal substances in the hallway (which was messy and run down) to the actual flat door. It is coming from the other tenants of this host. If you open the window of the back bedroom you will end up smelling it, too. You get noise from the road and passers by on one side of the flat, then noise from the train track on the other side. From what we could tell, the trains stop just before midnight but start again at 6:30am. Look at Google maps to understand how close it is to the train track. The beds were uncomfortable. The mattresses were thin. We did not have a comfortable sleep due to the beds, the smell of drugs and the noises from outside. A lot these issues we found were outside the hosts control but it's important for guests to know these issues before they book.

−A few bits missing like kitchen roll and shower gel, towels could have been bigger but overall the place was fine. Be aware that the stairs are steep.

−To get into the building there was like a sack/ bin on the door. A kitchen draw face nearly fell on my foot when opening the drawer, The bed we slept on was completely busted and could not support our bodies on the super thin mattress.

+Very clean, modern and has everything you need. The apartment is perfect with 2 bedrooms and separate living room. Tea, coffee, washing up liquid as a few things to mention. Shop opposite for convenience. Very comfy beds, towels supplied. Very short walk to the beach. Easy to find and communication was spot on. Parking free on the street for 2 hours and free 18:00-08:00 and using a parking app, you can park at Sainsburys for £4.99 which is round the corner.
