“Lovely, clean, well equipped apartment, noisy, but understandable due to position.”
+lovely spacious well designed apartment. Fantastic kitchen, fully equipped, spotless & we were provided with milk, water & snacks which was lovely. Fantastic coffee maker!
−Unfortunately it was incredibly noisy with the weekend celebrations & the bar very near, until the early hours of the morning which prevented us from sleeping, however in fairness we were completely in the centre of town & also it was the weekend. I would recommend sound proofing as this would make the apartment perfect !

“Colchester stylish apartment”
+Comfortable bed location.
−Only one towel each when staying 2 nights sofa was dirty and so was bathroom mat and very very noisy of a night as no double glazing windows or secondary ones inside. No lock on bathroom door and door doesn't close properly. And a big yellow stain on mattress which is a shame as it is very comfortable.

“Lovely modern central studio”
+Modern studio with a good sized bathroom and shower then the bed was spacious and comfortable, useful to have a washing machine and air conditioning, fridge and iron and ironing board, oat was a nice touch with a supply of coffee and snacks.. Excellent communication with the host and clear access information.
−Due to the city centre location it was noisy at times especially when the pubs were clearing out. But we were expecting rhat

“Comfortable and convenient stay”
+Me and my husband booked this place for a total of 7 days. It was spacious for the 2 of us and had all we needed for a long stay including a washer with dryer. Although it is not at High Street, everything is within walking distance.
−It was a bit of a struggle to bring up our very large suit case up the staircase and it can be rather noisy during weekends (we were there during World Cup Semis). However, we still booked the same studio for the second part of our holiday because of the comfortable space and its location.

“Very clean and tidy apartment, Very central! Overall a very happy stay!”
+Very good central location, Perfect for the summer series at the castle. Everything you could need in the apartment, very clean and very tidy! Lovely bathroom and shower.
−Only thing I could complain about is the noise outside the apartment... we had a group of drunks wake us up at 4am.. obviously not the hosts fault! Can't fault anything else! I would recommend the apartment supply a white noise machine to try and drown this out.

“Comfortable and stylish stay close to the Roman city high street”
+Very close to the town centre The apartment was lovely. It was cosy and stylish, lovely bed and the kitchenette had every you wanted for self catering including a washer dryer for your clothes. Although we didn’t meet the proprietor they were very helpful and when we reported a small issue, they had fixed it by the time we had got back from afternoon tea.
−This is not a criticism for us as we wanted to be close to the town centre, so it was expected, but it could be extremely noisy at night, between pub closing and early morning.

+Wow, wow, wow! Stay Lux truly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Even before check-in, the host, Fiona, reached out after I mentioned a few special requests and responded almost instantly. She even decorated the apartment so I could surprise my partner, which was such a thoughtful touch. The apartment itself is beautiful and has all the right amenities. Despite being a studio, there was plenty of space to relax, eat, and sleep comfortably. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. We’re so happy we chose to stay here and will definitely be back. Excellent value for money and a real gem for anyone looking to make their stay feel a little extra special. Thank you so much!

“Nice property, good decor/design, small details let it down. They are easy fixes though...”
+Excellent location, decor and apartment layout. There were just a number of little things needing attention to make this better value for money
−Bed/pillow comfort, lacking tea towel, adequate toiletries, more towels needed, loo seat loose, hooks for coats. Entry code apparatus was unreliable, window closing difficult, though achieved. Street noise was high, though it was on the weekend and in a central area, to be fair.
