+Comfortable cottage .Everything thought of. Bedrooms cosy. Kitchen well equipped . Plenty of crockery ,plans and casseroles. Dishwasher and washer dryer too. Small parking space best approached from the castle. Local pubs friendly. Food at Dante Arms exceptional.
−We loved the log burner. There was a big file of instructions. Far too much to read. An idiots guide would be much appreciated. The radiators came on at odd times and we could have saved some energy if we had known how to control them.

“Great place will return.”
+Lovely old property in a great position in centre of Middleham, quiet and peaceful. Well equipped, with everything you need. Added bonus of a fire and fuel was provided by owner. Good base for lots of walks in beautiful surroundings.
−Would be useful to have instructions for rubbish and recycling, ad only recycling bin outside cottage.

−The pillows on the bed were a little lumpy/hard. Unusually for June it was quite chilly in the evenings and we found it a little cold downstairs in the kitchen and lounge area. When parking best to access from the top of the lane by the castle. A little history on the cottage would have been lovely.

“Perfect retreat”
+Really spacious accommodation, clean quiet and perfectly positioned for amenities. Parking was a challenge but not a problem. We would definitely consider a return visit.

+Lovely property, great location. Easy access to local amenities. Comfortable, had everything we needed for our stay. Bed was very comfortable.
−It was a little cold in the living room, getting the fire going wasn’t too easy for someone who had never done it before. Not a real issue at all but would have preferred to switch on a radiator.
