“Super-spacious cosy apartment suite in the centre of Buxton”
+An incredibly large apartment suite, particularly for a couple!! Rooms a-plenty, in particular the bedroom, the bathroom and the lounge were huge with high ceilings. Very light and airy from floor to ceiling windows. Even space for a large snooker table in a dedicated games room! The kitchenette was very well equipped, complete with a washing machine for longer-stay guests. We arrived as Storm Austen was gathering strength, and were grateful to evade the strong winds and heavy rain in the warmth and comfort of such a lovely apartment. Next morning, we were delighted to discover a breakfast cafe in the next door premises.
−The key handover could have been arranged better, we were asked to advise our arrival at the flat by text message 30 minutes BEFORE we reached the front door - this we did, but we had to take shelter from the gales and torrential rain in a nearby bus-stop until the owner arrived, with apologies.

“Great location warm... good for a short stay”
+The location was perfect. The apartment was spacious and warm. The bathroom was big with both a bath and walk in shower
−The kitchen had very basic cooking facilities which is fine if you plan to eat out while you stay or cook a basic meal. Bed was a bit hard for us but thats down to personal preference. The pool table looked good however the balls did not fit the rack a pocket was broken and it wasnt even. The owner did tell us on arrival but we didnt know this when we booked in

+The location was excellent. The apartment was amazing, light, bright and enormous.
−The lighting in the kitchen was poor. There were no recycling facilities.

“Potential to be a lovely property, but felt this was still an ongoing unfinished project.”
+Good central location. LIght and airy spacious property.
−We didnt feel the property was quite ready to accept guests. Some decorating had been done, new carpets fitted throughout, but lots of unfinished elements of the project.ie metal hinges left sticking out of doorframe after doors removed, patch of bare plaster/paint peeling off bedroom ceiling. Vintage sofas were uncomfortable. Although we weren't eating in the apartment, didnt feel the kitchenette was fit for purpose.

“Beautiful old apartment in need of renovation with great potential in a central location.”
+The apartment is very spacious, with the exception of the kitchen. It is in a beautiful old building with very high ceilings and is fairly well equipped. The location is perfect for being in the centre of town.
−The apartment decor is tired and needs refurbishing, but the owners advised us of that on arrival and they intend to do so. It will be fabulous when this is done. The main issue was with building works going on in the same building, constant noise from 9am until 6pm. The owners said this is outside their control but it did spoil our stay as we couldn't go back to the apartment to relax in the daytime. Once these works are completed it should be more peaceful and a great location for a Buxton town centre break.
