+Attention to detail was amazing. Fabulous location and the house itself was second to none. Everything we needed was provided. Communication with the host was great and everything was effortless. We enjoyed the welcome gifts too.

“The best place to stay on the island”
+An absolutely amazing property, spent hours looking out to sea and watching the boats and animals in the surounding fields. Every window has a view. I cannot rate the property highly enough, will definitely be going back.

“Disappointed it didn’t meet with my expectations given the location and the tourist rating.”

−We have decided not to stay at Sheerglass next summer. As nice as the property was, we did notice quite a few areas where it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned, especially cobwebs in corners. We didn’t move beds or furniture to examine underneath. The hoover smelt very strongly of ‘dog’ when switched on. Fine for dog owners! Also there were yellow stains round the hinges (not rust) of the toilet seat in the en suite of the bedroom nearer the front door. I did take a photograph of it. Also there was a chipped mug, there were 3 saucepans which had obviously been burnt on the inside base of each pan and the frying pan which didn’t encourage us to want to cook in the kitchen, not having the necessary equipment. I did take photos of the inside coating of the pans. In all, the crockery was not very useful, a need for smaller bowls and some tall glasses. I think I need to mention the amount of ‘spiders’ in the house, we didn’t leave the outer doors open despite the heat! we noticed them coming out of the panelling in the hallway to the downstairs bedroom nearer the front door, which matches the wood panelling at the head of the bed. “Beautiful accommodation in a perfect location”
+Loved the upside down layout to make the most of the beautiful views of the coast. Very comfortable beds , clean and so quiet a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed

“Splendid property in outstanding location”
+The house was bright and welcoming, with all modern equipment and spectacular views from all windows with amazing sunsets. The location was ideal for exploring the island and we felt very safe there.

“This could be the best holiday let in the Isle of Man”
+The house is immaculately clean, comfortable, and with an upside down layout that takes full advantage of the amazing views in a location perfect for dog walks. Laundry & kitchen facilities are excellent - although we only stayed for three nights the house is well equipped for a much longer stay. Lawned garden is in the sunshine all day. Sheerghlass is the best holiday home I have stayed in.
−A couple of sun loungers would improve enjoyment of the outside area, but this place is very close to perfect.

“We loved our stay at Sheerglass and would definitely recommend it.”
+Location was definitely the best feature, the house is situated along a wonderful coastal road (Pooilvaaish Road) giving fantastic sea views. The house is lovely and was very clean & comfortable and we very much enjoyed our two week stay. We were able to use the house as a base to visit many parts of the island, plus we enjoyed local walks along the Pooilvaaish Road and cycle rides to Castletown & Port St Mary. We also spent many a happy hour just watching the birdlife through the spotting scope from the house, along the coast, plus the pheasants in the field and the rabbits in the garden!
−The internet in the house was hit and miss and would be our main thing to improve. Plus a shelf in the shower to avoid us oldies having to keep bending down for shower gel & shampoo! But we would definitely visit again.
