“Fantastic! Idyllic.... comfortable.... relaxing... in an authentic and unspoilt part of Portugal!”
+What a find! The location is rural, scenic, and the house itself exceptionally beautiful and welcoming! Everywhere was clean and well appointed for such a small house; with pretty much everything we needed for a relaxing stay in the countryside . Antje was the consummate host - very accessible and extremely helpful throughout our stay! Would not hesitate to recommend this place. Thank you Antje :)
−One slight issue - the access road, which in places was a little uneven for our small hire car.

“Away from the madding crowd.”
+Set in a beautiful Alentejo landscape of gently rolling hills, this cozy and well appointed cottage is the perfect place to just be, not do. After a busy few days in Lisbon, we appreciated the peace and quiet and the views, and also the comfortable bed and good quality bedding. The kitchen is well equipped, and firewood and firelighters were provided which came in handy on a couple of cold evenings. Antje is a very friendly and welcoming host. The coast is a half hour drive away. We enjoyed driving to Porto Covo, then walking to the fort and restaurant at Ilha do Pessegueiro. We also visited Vila Nova de Milfontes, where most restaurants were closed for the winter. I recommend driving round to the restaurant on the beach at Furnas, from which you get a great view of the town, and which serves good food.
−The check in time is a bit late.

“Very good”
+Very cozy and comfortable little house in the middle of rural Portugal. You have everything you need in order to enjoy a couple of calm days. The bed is simply amazing, something that truly allowed me to sleep like a baby. With that said, I did not really feel the "magic" some reviewers write about. This can of course be attributed to the fact I had hard rain and hard winds during my entire stay in the house, but partly also because the pictures presenting the tiny house are more or less all taken during the spring. If you like me visit this location in October, keep in mind the color scale of nature around that part of the year is more brown-gray rather than green as a result of nature being scorched by the relentless Portuguese summer sun. The pictures of the view from the bathtub should be updated, as you don't have such view from the room, instead the window faces a very high pine hedge that blocks all view from you.
−The last 100 meters of the dirt road leading up to the house are a nightmare. On my arrival, this section contained segments of mixed old asphalt and loose small rocks, something that made my rental truly struggle to get up the steep hill. During my first day of stay a tractor scraped away the remaining asphalt from this section, something that together with the heavy rains that were predicted turned the dirt road into a mud road where the car more or less slid down the dirt road like on ice when leaving the property. Quite nerv-wracking! Not entirely the best planing for getting that particular job done.
