“A miserable time”
+I liked the off road track to get to the lodge, good fun in our 4x4
−Power cuts (no heat or cooking facilities) Place had not been cleaned Black mould, water ingress in bedroom and living area We left after two nights owner said he would refund and has not Misleading photos, it looks like its alone but you are close to other lodges Owner has a very poor attitude Grass outside full of dog mess

+This was our second stay, and we loved it just as much as our first time. Lodges are superbly equipped with anything you might need, they are cosy and secluded. Great location with Keswick close by, lakes, hills/mountains (all Northern Lakes wainwrights ;)) - short drive away.

“Very disappointing and upsetting at times.”
+The beds were really comfortable. The peace and quiet. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare food. Wildlife just outside our window.
−The lodge was tired, some of the lights did not work. There were no instructions provided for any appliances or heating. Cleanliness was not as it should have been. Cobwebs and dust in corners. I removed a considerable amount of human hair from the drain in the shower after realising the water was not running away as it should. The three of us are all nature and animal lovers and so were very upset that Corvid traps were used on this estate. All linen and towels were provided according to the listing so was a bit surprised and inconvenienced by an e mail from the owner the day before we left that asked us to bring our own towels.
