“As above please read my post thank you.”
+The location was great right in the middle of the Abbey side of Whitby although the steps leading to the property were an issue if you have mobility problems the unloading and loading of our vehicle was a challenge especially with the fact that it was up so many steps and having no place to park whilst unloading the car. The little alley way was quite hard to find when we arrived easy missed on our entry and you have to park on Church Street which was full of pedestrians and some other traffic that did cause some anxiety and a little stress. However the task was swiftly carried out and I was lucky enough to find a parking space and return to the cottage quickly.
−The main issue that we found was the need of the place to have a really good deep clean thoroughly and throughout the steps are very small and steep and great care must be taken going up and down the property really needs a good overall and some tender loving care. We did have some pleasant experience in the property and the bed was very comfortable we slept very well and we loved the atmosphere of the old place however the whole place deserves a good upgrade in all areas. I am trying to be as positive and constructive as I can be. If you can overlook the cosmetic and low maintenance Of Sailing by then I am sure that your stay will be adequate this place has lots of potential and if you are interested in your property please invest as much as you can to make it somewhere that others will appreciate and enjoy and have more people will return to your property

+On arrival we found they were no bed linen. We message and said they was no bed linen. We slept in our clothes. The property smelt of damp . The bath leaked and you could see it had come the ceiling. The following day they still was no bed linen So we moved out of the property.
−The property was not as advertised as it showed on website We have spoken with someone and make a complaint

−Very overpriced for dusty cobwebbed place to stay!! Hard to find property with lots of steps to get to it!! Dangerous staircases inside property so would be unsuitable for elderly or people with small children. Bath could do with a revamp, looks very dirty.

“Short, we left after an hour!”
+Nothing, we throughly disliked the property and we are waiting on someone to come back to us to sort this out. So far I feel completely ignored and really let down by both Sykes and Booking.com.
−Everything. The place was dangerous, not very clean and in a serious need of some updating.
