+The location was great. The bathrooms were very nice.
−I fell down the stairs on the second night. I have damaged my lower back and cut my head. The stairs are narrow and the electric box on the corner is what I cut my head on. We had issue with the dishwasher. Which was fixed. But then after that a leak appeared and the sink water poured out from underneath. I had to find a mop and bucket. Which were in bad condition so did not really work. We reported it and we were told that it had been fixed. But that evening it happened again. We tried to hoover but the cyclinder was full. We stripped the bed but there were no protectors on the pillows or mattress.

“Enjoyable.”
+Property is well situated in Elterwater right near the pub and cafe and bus stop. Property was well stocked with crockery etc.
−The check-in time is late at 4pm and the check out time is exceptionally early at 9am. We requested a later check out and were told no as the cleaner was coming in. We went for a walk and came back to the property later and the cleaner had not arrived. There was no hand soap provided in either of the bathrooms or kitchen (or any toiletries) so you need to bring some soap!

“Was great but too expensive”
+Location is perfect
−Mattress is not up to scratch for that price. Cutlery and Crockery is cheap IKEA quality. For what I paid and what I got it was too expensive. Parking is only possible for a very small car.

“Lovely cottage for a short getaway”
+Quiet quint location, with modern amenities. Simple thing like a bath for the kids what a lovely touch!
−Little bit chilly, in some rooms overnight.

“Second stay this year”
+The setting, log fire, rustic charm. Just a typical old country cottage.
−Despite my love of the low doorways I did bang my head. That's it, basically.

+Lovely location, next to the pub, all as described, good locations for Buxton trip and local walks.
−Main downside - Hot water pressure useless, especially for washing up! V minor points - Could have less clutter in the bedrooms. Small bottles of oil/condiments would be amazing for cooking. Some.more up to date Peak District walking books would be useful.

+Great location. Cosy, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Everything we could have asked for. Lovely walks from the cottage and fantastic pub next door.
