“Nice home comfy beds will be staying again”

+Subject: Complaint Regarding Stay at Rigside, Douglas Dear [Host’s Name / Airbnb Support], I am writing to raise a complaint regarding my recent stay at Rigside, booked under reservation [insert code] from [insert dates]. Unfortunately, the property fell well below the standards advertised and expected. On arrival, the cleanliness of the accommodation was poor. We found flies trapped in the blinds and the general presentation of the property was not up to standard. Several essential items were missing, including an ironing board, hair dryer, and cutlery. These were either listed as included or should reasonably have been available for guests’ use. Their absence caused significant inconvenience during our stay. Additionally, the comfort and quality of the furnishings were disappointing. The sofa was uncomfortable, and the beds provided little rest, which made our overall experience far from relaxing. Given these issues, I believe Rigside did not meet the standard promised in the listing. I therefore request an appropriate resolution, ideally in the form of a refund or compensation under Airbnb’s Guest Refund Policy. I would appreciate a prompt response to this matter. Kind regards,

−Single bed was very flimsy. I had to sleep in it as the lightest in our group, due to the potential for breakage. The window in the single room doesn’t fit the frame, resulting in a big draft and wind noise. The gaps also attract insects which I had to clear each night. Decor is tatty with stains and loose wallpaper. For 4 men on a golf trip it was adequate but for families, less so.

“How not to run an air b and b.”
+We were there for a family birthday . The accommodation was 5 miles from the event so that was good.
−The light at the front door didn't work so had to use my phone torch to see the numbers on the key box to get the door keys. The inside portch door didn't close. The carpets weren't vacuumed. The blinds in the front room were broken. The cutlery and crockery were all greasy and had to be washed before use. The toilet seat was broken. There were 5 of us I had a shower but nobody else could use it as the water didn't drain away. If anyone else had used it the water would have flooded the bathroom. One of the bedroom curtains was hanging off the rail. Upstairs was freezing. Turned out all the Upstairs radiators valves had been shut off. All in all the property was not fit for purpose oh almost forgot they over charged me £180 they took the deposit then took the full amount 2 days later. I have been sending emails for a week and still haven't been refunded.

−Windows in the bedrooms didn't block out the outside noise, and some were taped shut. There wasn't sufficient blinds/curtains in the bedrooms, the bedrooms were very bright in the mornings.
