“place was good, but it might be a scam”
+the location was absolutely incredible
−A couple of days before my booking I received a notification informing me that the place I had booked recently got flooded and because of that I was given a secondary location, at face value I found this to be great customer service, the new location was great and beautiful. Unfortunately, when I actually got there I found out I was sharing the flat (that had been advertised as "just for me") to be a shared flat. This was annoying but not too much of an issue as I just assumed that they didn't have any other free facilities (although a quick message informing me about this would've been pleasant, as I unknowingly walked in on a half naked man). The real problem came a couple of days later as I ended up talking to a couple of my new flatmates: it turns out that all of us were fed the same story, as all of us had previously booked a flat for a price that was too good to be true, only for it to get flooded about 3 days before coming to Lisbon and to be sent to the same shared flat. it might've been an unfortunate coincidence, but it did feel like i could be part of an overall bigger scam.

+The location was excellent,
−Unfortunately, I didn’t actually stay at the original apartment I had booked in Lisbon. At the last minute, I was relocated to a different unit. While the apartment itself was very nice, it turned out to be a shared space, something I wasn’t made clearly aware of in advance. Throughout my stay, I experienced multiple uncomfortable situations, including people trying to enter my room at night and constantly changing faces in the common areas. On one occasion, I was even scolded for using coffee cream that I had bought myself. The lack of privacy and constant stress each evening made it a disappointing experience overall. Because of this, I’ve decided I won’t be renting any type of apartment accommodation in the future, this experience really changed my perspective.

“Very lovely quaint apartment that has multiple separate secure rooms. Perfect location.”
+Conveniently located in touristy Lisbon!. Ability to use the kitchen facility. Fairly quiet despite location. Had an elevator. Very responsive host by text. Large room. Comfortable bed.
−Last minute change to our original booking by host. Expected to be staying in a hotel. This was more an Air BNB. Apparently our room at the hotel had a leak. We were text instructions as to new location and keys but some of this instructions were incorrect. Key didn’t fit the room we were told was ours. Photos didnt match the room we actually stayed in. Someone was already in that one. Old style skeleton keys and door locks very noisy! Wifi instructions given initially by text were incorrect. No glasses in the WC. Didn’t realize that we could use the kitchen until I asked for glasses. Laundry detergent way too perfumed!

“Great location and nice enough room but be careful of what you are expecting as you may not get it”
+Location was excellent, just around the corner from the Santa Justa Lift and other tourist attractions, surrounded by many shops, cafes and restaurants.
−However accessing was difficult. Understanding check in was not till 3pm, however we arrived early morning and needed to dump our stuff. We were provided other storage options and was then told we could access the main building and leave our luggage in the hallway - not particularly secure as we were unaware of who else could also access the hallway. We believed we had booked a suite but in reality it was just a bedroom with private bathroom, the kitchen and lounge was a shared space. It was also very difficult to access our room with the skeleton key provided and continued to have issues with this (to get in and out of the room) during the whole stay. The host was available to contact via text however responses at times was delayed. Shower dispensers were all empty.
