“We loved it here. Beautifully restored, historic house, within an historic building. It was clean and very cosy. Heating”
+It’s a quirky property to stay in. Steeped in history. Very cosy, warm and welcoming. Close to venues we needed and a local 24 hour parking facility.
−Nothing for us. If you struggle with stairs, this would not be the property for you. Two flights of semi spiral stairs, beautiful yet steep.

“After the initial frustration of getting in it was perfect.”
+Very spacious and in a fabulous location.
−Broken blind in upper bedroom. Unclear instructions re gaining admission. The front door to cottage 6 is actually known as The Gate. So the caused confusion when punching in the code for the door. Had to phone the host for help to access the property. Instructions could be clearer that the ‘Gate’ actually looks more like a door with no clue that there’s another door inside.

“Noisy”
+Good facilities. Comfortable bed
−Very, very noisy outside with passing footfall. At times I thought they were actually in the property it was that loud. A sleepless night.

“Priory Cottage made my birthday visit with our uni son truly special, offering a beautiful, clean, and spacious home wit”
+A wonderful birthday stay near our son! We booked Priory Cottage so we could spend my birthday visiting our son at university, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The house itself is gorgeous,so clean, beautiful, and amazingly spacious. Having an en-suite bathroom for every room was such a great bonus for all of us! The location is unbeatable, right in the middle of the city centre. We had a lovely dinner just directly opposite the cottage, grabbed easy breakfast from Greggs, and the car park was only a few minutes' walk away. Honestly, my only regret is that we didn't have more time to just relax and enjoy the house itself. Thank you for making my birthday weekend so special,we’d love to stay again!

+Very central property. Great to stay in such a historic building. Comfortable beds and lovely large bathroom.
−Upstairs was beautifully clean, but could not say this for downstairs. The sofa and chair had very visible marks on them and the living room rug and the floor underneath it were filthy. The kitchen units were clean but again the floor in both parts of the kitchen was not clean. The back kitchen had a very strong and unpleasant smell . It smelled like something had crawled under the floorboards and died. The lights were not working in the back kitchen. For a property which sleeps 4 we were not happy to find only 3 large plates, 3 side plates, 2 bowls, 2 glasses and 1 pint glass and 3 shot glasses which had obviously been brought from a pub! Whilst staying in the property, we read every one of the other reviews of the 2-bed property, and saw that they've all mentioned this, even as far back as a couple of years ago, so why hasn't this ever been rectified? On the first day, we pulled one of the kitchen chairs out from under the table and one of the legs fell off! It basically was just placed inside the hole/slot under the chair and not attached at all. This could have been so much worse had one of us actually got the chance to sit on it, as the floor was stone tiled. Not good. We were
