“Canal Boat Stay”
+Amazing location! We loved sitting on the small patio to take in all the views. Our 7year old loved waving to all the boats that went past. The space was larger than I was expecting. We walked across the street for breakfast at a local bagel shop and a grocery was next door so able to grab snacks and drinks for the boat. The hosts were amazing and we luckily were able to check in early which was fantastic after an overnight flight with 2 kids!

“It was a pleasure and I’m definitely coming back”
+The location was perfect - 20 minutes walk from Dam Square and the street is quite all day long. The boat was a very special experience. It’s not moving at all (so no worries about sea sickness) and it’s very clean, comfortable, private and the terrace on the water level is perfect. The staff was very friendly, helpful and if I needed anything all I need to do is knock on the next door and they answered immediately.
−The only thing missing is a stove or something to cook on

“Avoid Summer Booking... Too Hot with No AC, would be perfect in cooler temps”
+The boat was in an incredible location. Central to the arts district and on a busy canal which made it fun to watch the tours go by. Walking distance to much of the city. Very charming.
−When we booked the boat it claimed to be "air conditioned". Upon arrival, it was made clear that the AC is European air conditioning (not really anything but a fan and a slight cool waft of air). Even with all the doors and windows open, the boat remained around 36 degrees during the day and only dropped to 31 degrees at night. This is a lovely location and experience, but beware about traveling if it may be warm. My children and elderly parents could not stand the heat after one night and we left the boat vacant and went to another hotel the next night. We would have left the first night but arrived at 10pm and had no other choice. The area on top of the boat in the fresh air was nice, in the cabin is just too warm and too stale if the external temp is above 29-30 (80ish F). If you time it right, this could be a great place to stay

+Beautiful location and friendly staff.
−It was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. There is no aircon as advertised just an air cooler which is not an aircon. You can really keep the doors open at night to let in the cool air because of mosquitoes and bugs so a screen on the doors and windows would be great. As a result we actually checked out early.

“Overpriced and Disappointing”

−- Visible moisture damage and possible mold spots throughout the property - Persistent musty smell inside the accommodation - Interior and equipment noticeably worn and not in line with a “4-star” standard - Spider webs in multiple corners - Only ONE key provided for three guests (not communicated in advance) - While we were inside the accommodation, the host entered using his own key WITHOUT permission - Several stains appeared to be poorly painted over instead of properly repaired - Significantly overpriced

“Relaxed Stay”
+Unvergessliche Hausboot Erfahrung! Das schönste war am Balkon die Boote zu beobachten die vorbei fuhren.
−Die kleinen runden Fenster sind schimmlig und undicht, wir konnten sie nicht schließen. Abflüsse nicht gereinigt. Balkon verwittert, sehr spartanisch eingerichtet und Polsterung leider abgenutzt, wir wollten nicht kochen und dort essen. Die Vorhänge - generell keine richtige Verdunklung und bitte tauscht das Bett komplett aus. Das Ding bräuchte nur mehr Liebe, dann kommen wir gerne wieder!

“Urlaub in Amsterdam”
+Wunderschöne kleine Wohnung auf einen Hausboot. Wir hatten Kaffee und einige Getränke im Kühlschrank zur freien Verfügung. Darum haben wir auch auf dem Boot gefrühstückt. Am Abend am Balkon mit einem Gläschen Wein 🍷 den Booten zusehen,die vorbeikommen, war fantastisch. Wir haben es sehr genossen.
