“POST OFFICE by the River”
+From the moment you arrive you know it's going to be special. Staying in an historic post office was awesome. The owners kept the feeling alive inside too. Taking a step back into the past, even found coins in the old cashiers draw. Very comfortably and tastefully done. Very thoughtful hosts - don't think we have ever had fresh bread baked for us at any accommodation!! The host went above and beyond with the snacks and treats in and out of the fridge. Definitely will come back one day but will stay longer and put those fishing rods to use that the hosts had kindly prepared.

“Excellent place to stay and highly recommend it. We were all impressed.”
+We were impressed with the whole place. The smell of fresh baked bread and all the goodies in the fridge and desk. The massage chair was a bonus also. The whole place was so nice that we didn't leave it to go for a walk around the area. The owners thought of everything. Our friends that traveled with us use to own their own B&B and they were totally impressed. We will be back.

“Lovely comfortable accomodation”
+We had a lovely stay at the post office . Communication with the owners was excellent . The property is clean and well presented . The owners had gone to a lot off effort to ensure to our stay was comfortable . The bedding was very comfortable and bathroom ammenities excellent ! We really appreciated the extra towels that were available if required . The fridge was full of lovely breakfast items, snacks and even a bottle of wine 😊Smithtown is a quiet village - it’s very central to surrounding areas and great bush walks .

“Great comfortable stay.”
+I loved the post office for our 2 night stay in June 2026. From the freshly baked bread on arrival to the ultra comfortable bed and the wonderful massage chair. We had a great time. Great communication from Cheryl the owner. Continental breakfast provided Very close walk to the pub that had a great beer garden. It’s Close drive to Kempsey and south west rocks. Will definitely stay again

“One of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in.”
+This accommodation has by far been 1 of the best I have every stayed in. The hosts were exceptional and every detail was brilliant. The hosts also were super for keeping in contact regarding check in which really put my mind at ease. The freshly baked bread was a lovely treat. It was such a lovely place to stay would highly recommend.

“A hidden gem.”
+Exceptional breakfast. Exceeded our expectations. My wife is a Ceoliac so there was Gluten free breakfast and extras in the fridge as well.
