“Relaxing and comfortable with a beautiful countryside location.”
+Very comfortable, spacious, secluded, quiet and relaxing location. Lovely setting. Great communication. Everything was provided and plenty of firewood for those cold winter nights.
−The shower leaked and bathroom floor got quite wet. A little tricky to locate and navigate the driveways, especially with a larger vehicle.

“Peace and tranquility from the rat race”
+Once again an excellent peaceful stay. We chose this cottage again as we had a great stay last time.. Anyone who wants to get away from the noise of the city should definitely try these cottages out. The owners are great to deal with and answer your queries in good time. The bed is large and firm the fire was very welcoming and kept the cabin very warm. We will most definitely be back again soon

“Almost perfect getaway”
+Quiet location, a little hard to find. Log fire was a bonus. Everything provided to make stay comfortable.
−Mattress was a very deep, country appropriate but was not very supportive. Woke each day with stiff back. Also, lovely gardens but created a very narrow exit route. Car was scraped along one side due to protruding staghorns.

“Accommodation location great, accommodation itself great, our stay could have been handled better”
+Location was great, accommodation was clean and tidy, quiet area but still only 5 minutes to local shops etc.
−Our experience was tainted by one thing, the fireplace. I specifically booked this accommodation as it had a fireplace, without one I would have booked elsewhere. The issue we had was the fireplace did not work after the first night. It would not light. I cleaned out the fireplace as it had not been cleaned before our arrival hoping this would help, but it didn't. The owner sent someone round to fix it, after many attempts (approx 1 1/2 hours later) we told him not to bother. Reason being the accommodation was full of smoke, smoke alarm going off, we had to go outside due to smoke etc. Following this, our towels stank of smoke as did our clothes and bed sheets etc for the next 2 nights. We understand the owner could do nothing about this, but we did anticipate a little more, the offer of fresh towels, fresh sheets etc. What we got was a hand full of kindling, for a fire which would not light. IN the end the accommodation was good however this incident was not handled well.
