9.0“Cosy cottage”
+Cute little quirky cottage - superb location for visiting Bakewell which is just a short walk down the hill. Beds were super comfy. Host was really helpful after we had a problem, and did his best to sort things out for us. Heating was quick to kick in and warmed up the cottage easily. Shower was lovely and hot. Parking was a short, easy walk away from the cottage - plenty of space either up or down the hill.
−Vacuuming could have been more thorough on arrival. Host was apologetic when we raised this and was keen to put things right.

7.0“We had a good time and were fortunate with the weather. The Peak”
+It was located in a quiet area of Bakewell, with a great view of the country side. Comfortable and warm.
−It would have been good to have a written explanation of the heating system. The electric shower was too high for me to operate and didn’t understand how to run the hot water tap. We did have some difficulty in finding the property but we were fortunate to be able to find a space to park on the road. The stairs were steep and quite narrow.

−Nothing we didn't like but maybe add a welcome pack with some milk, a loaf of bread and the like?

8.0“An Ultra Challenge in Bakewell”
+Great location able to walk into Bakewell. Fully fitted kitchen. Table and seats out the back and front of cottage. Very clean and bed was very comfortable. Lovely hot shower. Cottage was nice and cool in the warm weather.
−As advertised you can not park outside cottage. You can park to off load and load car up but you have to park on main road which for us was either quite a way up the hill or along way down the hill.

8.0“Well equipped cottage close to the centre”
+Convenient for Bakewell centre, with free off road parking nearby. Well equipped cosy cottage.
−The photos on the website look old. The outdoor areas could do with a bit of a tidy up.

9.0“Comfortable stay in a beautiful, cosy cottage close to Bakewell centre.”
+Lovely cosy cottage in a great position with easy walking distance to the village centre yet has a beautiful dry stone wall and fields behind where we could see a barn owl hunting at dusk. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There was a nice, enclosed seating area at the back. The house was full of character.
−A bit awkward for parking (had to park on the road a wee bit of a walk up the hill) as you might expect for such an old property.

4.0+Walking distance to Bakewell town centre. Clean and tidy. Good beds.
−Toilet flush was hard to work. Boiler was leaking so had to keep emptying bowl but not advice from owners. Bath v worn so didn’t feel relaxing to use. No instructions for heating that kept coming on in the night when we didn’t want it to which resulted in being woken up. Parking on the road was really rough as very little space so not as easy as expected.
