“Short break”
+Location was good, handy for Winchester and we found the place relatively easily.
−Minimalist and not especially cosy. Could have done with, at the very least, some shower gel and shampoo. Not being a local, some info leaflets would have been a nice touch (2008 road atlas doesn't really cut it 😂). Instructions to operate the heating would have been useful. We survived though but would likely stay somewhere different if we went to Winchester again. I noticed that old reviews mentioned the cobwebs, mildew grout, flaky chairs and wonky toilet seat. Still the same.

+Large modern studio with bedroom area separated by partition, convenient for Winchester a 10+ minute drive away. Comfy bed and good shower.
−It would be helpful to have a clothes drawer, and some lighting outside for dark evenings. Also a little more clarity about how to find entrance - the pub said they get lots of people asking where it is! But we liked the view over the paddock, and other communication was clear thanks.

“Dirty smelly bedding / 2 x flea spray treatments in the propert”

−Cleanliness was substandard, which I knew from the reviews and understood before booking. However, given cleanliness concerns, I would expect the bedding if anything to be fresh and clean. The bedding was absolutely disgusting, with a yellow sweat / water mark visible, it smelt damp and like it had been slept it for a number of weeks. Absolutely unacceptable and when I contacted the property owner I’ve got no response. I am yet to receive a response over a week later on DIRECT WhatsApp message a number I know works as the owner had responded that day to another question that I had. There were also two flea spray treatments in the property unsure if this was a precautionary measure or a sign of something more cynical A note to the owner people are happy to stay in properties that aren’t up to sparkling clean standards, your reviews highlight this and people book at their own discretion as I did however bedding is a non-negotiable!!

“Great priced accommodation”
+Great little studio and well appointed
−Needed a little bit of tlc as the door handle in the bathroom was broken. Smelled a bit damp in the bathroom too

“Comfortable , clean and ideal”

“Disgusting”
+Nothing, we couldn't access the property. No instructions from owner. And no response when we tried to contact them. From the outside of the property it looked dirty and unkempt. Dustbins were overflowing and trash piled up at the side of building.
−Exactly everything described above. We had to find alternative accommodation, after a very stressful day.

“The owner needs to communicate”
+Nice big apartment well kitted out , good location and a nice pub 5 minutes walk
−The only let down for us was communication which frankly is non existent, I messaged before our stay with no reply, I emailed same response and I rang and nobody answered which is a bit poor , same because it’s a decent place

−I found the directions to the exact location a little cryptic. It could benefit from including a picture of the front or exact turn from the main road.

“Not the worst place we've stayed in, but up there.”
−That there was no response to numerous phone and messages to the apartment managers re the inoprability of the advertised clothes washer/dryer machine. Cracked and peeling vinyl chairs leaving particles of black sponge rubber. The whole feeling of tiredness about the place, especially the Bosch appliances, which mostly had problems.
