+The style of the furnishings
−It wasn't quite as clean. The bathroom and kitchen in particular were greasy and sticky in places. Drain 8n the kitchen did not drain properly. No possibility to separate rubbish. Heaters did not work properly. Landlord wanted cash without a receipt. Checkin code was transmitted incorrectly and we stood on the street in the rain.... It is noisy and you can hear the neighbours. Stairs to sleeping area very steep and low ceiling, extremely dangerous

+Nice apartment, friendly and helpful welcome from Bernard. Good location just off town centre and a good base for a cycling trip. Easy parking outside.
−Sofa bed was a bit 'dippy' but main bed was fine.

“Great host, excellent location and good value”
+Great location and a number of bars around the corner. Close proximity to Ypres and WW1 museums and sites. Clean and comfortable. Light and airey as good number of windows but would benefit from shutters as on some days was very hot. Small issues on first day very quickly rectified. Very good communication with host. Free parking directly outside.
−WiFi not working. We were moved to the Premier apartment at the last minute- host telephoned to explain as it was unavoidable. We were OK but it was on 2nd floor with a lift to first floor only. Stairs very steep and again steep inside apartment to mezzanine bedroom. We managed but would have preferred the ground floor apartment we booked. Certainly unsuitable for older/these with mobility problems.

−Pas de chauffage à notre arrivée mais nous avons reçu des chauffages d'appoints. Pas de télévision ni de wifi, d'après le propriétaire panne dans la région, mais généralement Proximus règle rapidement le problème (arrivés vendredi et toujours rien le dimanche). Je pense que c'était plutôt la box de l'appartement qui était en panne et non Proximus. Sans rien les soirées sont longues. Dans la cuisine il y a seulement 3 verres dépareillés ce qui est peu. Les joints de la douche sont a refaire et les pommeaux de douche à détartrer.

−Het bed kraakt luid, de douche is klein. De badkamer is niet erg schoon, er zitten op verschillende plekken watervlekken; en 's nachts is het goed te zien door het raam als de lamp aan is. Een deel van het keukenmeubilair werkt niet, en de gang voor het appartement zit vol vliegenlarven.

+Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter, ganz lieben Dank für die Spontanität! Die Wohnung war eine andere als abgebildet, was aber vollkommen OK war. Die Stufen, hoch unters Dach, sind sehr schmal und steil, was für uns aber kein Problem war. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist aber wirklich unschlagbar.
−Die Heizung im Wohnraum war abgebaut und stand an der Wand (waren bei warmen Temperaturen vor Ort also kein Problem), manche Schubladen ließen sich nicht öffnen (Besteckschublade) oder schließen (Badezimmerschrank) was für uns aber auch nicht schlimm war, da wir nur vor Ort geschlafen haben. Die Fugen im Badezimmer müssten erneuert werden.
