“Access and maintenance issues; repairs arranged, but our refund request went unanswered.”

−Disappointing condition and complaint handling We paid approximately €90 per night at Ocean Corner Belém and encountered several problems. The incorrect access code left us waiting outside for around 30 minutes. A door could not be locked, and a window could not be closed properly. Although the plastic roller shutter was lockable, the arrangement made my partner feel unsafe. Other issues included buzzing from the electrical panel, limited ventilation, a shower curtain that left the bathroom floor wet, dirty/discoloured freezer seals, peeling paint and visible wiring behind a wall light. We documented these with photographs. Bruna initially responded promptly and arranged for Miguel and professionals to address the repairs, which we appreciated. However, our request for a 30% partial refund remained unanswered despite follow-ups, and communication eventually stopped. We submitted photos and WhatsApp screenshots to Booking.com. They informed us that no agreement could be reached with the property and credited €17.09 to our travel wallet as a goodwill gesture. The accommodation provided no refund. The maintenance problems and handling of our complaint left us disappointed.

“Convenient stay in a very local neighborhood”
+It was very convenient and even though it’s a small house, it’s spacious. It had everything we needed and for 4 people is has a good cost/price rate.
−Some easy comfort upgrades can be made such as fixing the doors to close properly, switching the pillows and closing the “window” from the bathroom to the kitchen.

+Gostei muito da localização, uma zona bastante calma perto das paragens de autocarro, do jardim botânico, uma casa muito bem limpa apesar dos contras é uma casa ótima para passar férias.
−Não gostei da escada que tem para a casa de banho, mal podíamos abrir a porta do terraço porque onde está a rede mosquiteira abana

“Great location, comfortable apartment, and overall a very pleasant stay”
+First of all, the location was absolutely amazing. For us, it was perfect - it was very convenient to get to all the main places and attractions we wanted to visit during our trip. The apartment was quite clean and comfortable. The bed linen was clean and fresh, with no unpleasant or musty smell. There were also plenty of towels - even more than we needed, which was a nice bonus. The apartment also has a washing machine, a well-equipped kitchen, and everything you might need for a longer stay. We didn't really use much apart from the fridge, but it was still very convenient to have everything available. The only thing we didn't find was drinking glasses, although we had our own, so it wasn't a problem for us (maybe we just didn't find them 🙂) There is no air conditioning, which we already knew from the listing, so it wasn't a surprise for us. However, there are fans and a dehumidifier, which worked well 🙌🏼
−The only real issue we noticed was that the iron didn't work. I tried to turn it on, but unfortunately, I couldn't use it. Other than that, we didn’t experience any significant inconveniences and overall we were very happy with our stay

La ubicación, lo cómoda que es la casa, lo bien equipada que está, lo fácil que es acceder al transporte público para moverte por la ciudad, la cantidad de sitios que había para comprar, lo tranquilo del sitio, lo poco que nos costó aparcar al lado... Y también quiero destacar a las personas que nos atendieron, Miguel y Francisco, que respondían al momento y eficazmente a nuestras preguntas y dudas. Muy agradecid@s.

+Lo que más nos gustó es que son PET friends, pudimos quedarnos muy cómodos con nuestra perrita , que para nosotros es fundamental! La ubicación y la facilidad para estacionar nuestro coche 🚗 fue muy agradable , siempre conseguimos puestos en la misma calle de piso , siendo pleno verano en temporada alta.
−Las instalaciones tienen varios puntos a mejorar detalles que hacen la diferencia! Pero yo voy resaltar dos (2) cosas . 1. Las ollas 🍲 🫕 para cocinar están en muy mal estado. 2. Hace falta urgente buenos ventiladores 🌬️si son de techo mejor, pero eso es urgente más con el calor del verano, ya que no cuentan con A/c. Ojo esas dos cosas son fácil y económico de mejorar , le recomiendo a los dueños o administración que hagan pronto , así mejoraran mucho la experiencia del turista !

+Passamos momentos excelentes em família durante a estadia. A localização é excelente, com fácil acesso e muita comodidade. A acomodação atendeu muito bem às nossas necessidades , máquina de lavar roupas, fogão e geladeira funcionavam perfeitamente, e utilizamos bastante todos esses itens. As camas e os sofás também eram muito confortáveis, tornando nossa experiência ainda mais agradável. A equipe foi muito atenciosa e prestativa, buscando nos ajudar prontamente sempre que necessário, especialmente o Miguel, que foi excelente no atendimento.
−Alguns pontos poderiam ser melhorados para tornar a experiência ainda melhor. A cafeteira não aquecia adequadamente a água do café e precisaria ser substituída. As panelas e os talheres também já estão bastante desgastados e poderiam ser renovados. O ferro de passar roupa igualmente não funcionava. Além disso, ao chegarmos, a casa estava com bastante poeira, dando a impressão de que a limpeza não havia sido realizada adequadamente antes da nossa entrada. Nós mesmos tivemos que varrer e passar pano. Também sentimos falta de mais tapetes para o banheiro e de panos de cozinha. Em alguns dias, tivemos problemas com a internet. Outro ponto de melhoria seria a instalação de ar-condicionado nos quartos, pois os mesmos não possuem janelas e durante o verão a casa fica bastante quente. Apesar desses inconvenientes, nossa estadia foi excelente.

+L’apt correspondait à nos besoins. Près de plusieurs centres d’intérêts mais il faut être en forme pour revenir particulièrement, si comme nous, vous n’avez pas de voiture!
−Manque un peu d’infos dans le cahier fourni par l’établissement, pour restos et commerces de proximité pour voyageur sans automobile!
