10.0“Would stay again when in the area.”
+Nice BIG beds and the location was great.
−The hot water is dangerously hot. Way above 65C that is usually recommended. The shower heat control in the en-suite needs looking at as well. It does not adjust the temperature correctly, it appears to be unable to make the temperature colder. We managed but the water was still hot when using the shower. I think there might be a screw missing but I’m not a plumber. I think you should get someone to look at both of these things.

9.0“Lovely, well appointed cottage in the heart of Lymington. Would definitely recommend”
+Very well appointed; lovely lay out; great location right in the heart of Lymington. Very comfortable beds and lovely garden area as well.
−There was nothing I didnt like about the cottage. Parking is only 2 mins walk away but max duration for parking is 20 hours before you have to move to another car park. Didnt cause us an issue but I suspect it could be inconvenient for some

8.0“We had a lovely relaxing break at Nutshell Cottage. Ideal for visiting the New Forest and the coast.”
+The location was good especially for local shops etc. Although lack of parking for more than an hour outside the cottage meant a bit of juggling the provision of two permits for the local car park was very helpful. The cottage was cosy and well equipped.
−We had a bit of a problem with the temperature setting on the ensuite shower but I let the agent know in the hope that it could be remedied for the next guests.

8.0“Great stay and lovely location, Lymington is a wonderful town for a weekend stay with lots of beautiful walks nearby.”
+Lovely cottage, really tastefully decorated, very clean and wonderful location.
−We were a group of 6 adults and it wasn’t really big enough. The third bedroom is only suitable for children, the beds are soft children’s beds and no space in the room to move. The other 2 bedrooms are great for adults. Not enough sofa space for 6 adults. The garden/outdoor area needs some work on it. Some of the plates are a little tired now and need replacing.

8.0“Very good”
+Clean & comfortable. Fantastic location, a few minutes walk to the high street. We were able to park outside to unload the car, which was very convenient & the overnight parking was 2 minutes walk away, with a paid clock permit. The rooms were nicely decorated & the kitchen had teabags, coffee, & dishwasher tablets, clingfilm etc. A sweet little garden to use in the nicer weather.
−We were asked not to touch the heating but all radiators were on max & it was far too hot. We eventually had to turn them down as it was too hot to sleep. We were asked to strip the beds on vacating the premises, we did, but we're not really happy about it. New Forest Escapes took £350 refundable deposit from my bank a few days before we arrived, then said they had found damage to a stair gate once we had left. I am 99.5% certain that it was not us that caused the damage. Eventually, they came back & said it had been repaired at minimal cost & therefore my deposit would be fully refunded. I was not comfortable with them taking £350 when I didn't remember booking. Com saying this at time of non refundable booking. Finally, one last moan. It said dog friendly & there would be a small charge for the dog. £50 for my dog for a 3 night stay, I thought was excessive, maybe I'm behind the times. We did have a nice stay but without the above it would have been better.
