“Lovely location and good value for money.”

−It would have been nice to have an open fire or log burner and a dishwasher. The lighting in the sitting room was a bit too low for reading. The eating area in the kitchen was a bit cramped.

+We stayed at this cottage for five nights in the middle of July and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is lovely, in a peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings, yet it's only a short drive from Lerwick, making it a great base for exploring Shetland. The owner kindly allowed us to check in earlier than usual, which we really appreciated after spending many hours on the ferry. It made a big difference to the start of our holiday. The cottage is well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The beds were very comfortable, the shower worked perfectly, and the view from the bedroom windows was beautiful to wake up to each morning. The interior is quite simple and a little eclectic, with a style that feels somewhat reminiscent of the 1990s. Some guests might find this a bit dated, while others may see it as part of the cottage's unique charm. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful place to stay while visiting Shetland.
−The only real downside for us was that there wasn't a comfortable sofa or armchair for relaxing and watching TV in the evenings.

−Some of the decor is dated but that didn’t bother us. Looks like it’s being smartened up in stages. Important things were very good.

“Shetland Adventure 2026”
+Ideal location, not far from family and to explore from. 5 mins from Scalloway, 10 mins from Lerwick. Cosy cottage that is like home from home, there is everything you need, host was lovely, great WiFi, good heating system... Everything you could need for your stay. Also, visiting sheep come into the garden which gave us a lot of laughs. Doggy friendly, our girl loved her adventure. We cannot wait to stay again
