“Good location, big house, all ensuite rooms. Too much furniture”
+All ensuite bathrooms Plenty of dining space, plenty of seating in the garden. Big living room, comfy sofas and chairs 2 microwaves and 2 ovens is helpful
−The house has too much unnecessary decorative furniture e.g. statues. With little children i was happy they could run around freely, but there was just too much furniture in all of the rooms and hallways The beds were smaller than expected. I am sure it said 3 king size beds.. only 1 had an actual king size bed, the rest were double beds, I'm sure some were even 3/4 beds not even double Also it would be helpful to have a light dimmer in all of the bedrooms Need a bigger fridge Perhaps and small slide or swingset in the garden? Just a gentle suggestion

+The location was ideal. Accommodation was very good. There was no staff as it is self catering. Would visit again as ideal for family reunion

−The front door did not fully open. We had to use the back door with the pram. I would say the cleaning could be improved. Dust in most places and around the edges of the skirting boards.

“Excellent large house for time away”
+Lovely house with plenty of room for all our party. Good showers and good facilities. It is about a mile walk to Bowness but it is very manageable.
−Downstairs toilet didn’t flush and reception not very good with bedroom TV’s. We found that the electric cooker didn’t seem to heat up very well not sure if that is the pans supplied. But we only ate in 1 night.

“Superb”
+It was great having an ensuite in every room and plenty of seating for everyone. Well equipped kitchen to be able to make home cooked meals for 12 people. Great service from the hosts. Location was so convenient, easy walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The whole house was spotless. A really great stay perfect for such a large group!
−Parking was a little tight for 12 people staying but easy enough to walk around the corner to on street parking.

“We had a fabulous time despite having to start tidying up at 7.45 on Checkout day.”
+Great location, big dining table, and enough seating in the lounge. Good house for a group walking base and a social evening. Crazy Decor.
−9am checkout was tough on a Saturday morning with 12 people. I did ask for slightly later but was told categorically no, even though there was no one booked in after us. Beds in the doubles were a bit small for two larger adults.

“Very disappointing”
−Not enough crockery, glasses for 12 people,( should be one for every person,shouldn't have to go out a buy stuff ) and more kitchen utensils

+Great location. 5 mins walk to village center. Sainsbury & Coop convenience stores; large Booths supermarket 10 mins walk.Good well signed car parking for 3 cars. 4th car ( party of 10 from different locations) easily parked on Brook Rd only 100yds away." Interesting " interior decor which added to the experience. Nice private outdoor space at rear
−As regular guest at similar large, high end, not cheap properties we would expect rather more in the way of complementary groceries & toiletries to enable us to settle in. Guests may be arriving after shops close. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge (Thanks) but essentially no groceries. Six teabags, no milk,no coffee,no sugar, no bread. No bathroom toiletries. I think it is a matter of expectation of a top class venue.
