+Great central location, yet quiet, comfy beds, good shower, very clean and tidy house with a good level of amenities.
−The steep stairs to the mezzanine bedroom took a bit of getting used to, and also the low beam over the beds.

“Long weekend at the lakes”
+The house was fantastic,very pretty with beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen, the host gave great instructions for getting to the property, fantastic location in the heart of the town so close to shops, restaurants and easy access to Coniston and Windermere.

“Moss Tarn September 2024”
+Very good quality furnishings, with a supply of important consumable items provided (toilet rolls, kitchen rolls etc) as well as soap & shampoo in the shower, towels, a selection of teas and coffee and a kitchen with cooker, microwave, kettle and loads of crockery and utensils for cooking. The open plan lounge/kitchen is very nice and spacious with a comfy recliner and 2 sofas, one if which can be used as a sofa bed, and a brilliant TV and sound system. The shower is very good and the beds are comfy. Everywhere was clean and well looked after. The overall vibe was welcoming,bright and airy and the communication from the owner was very helpful and informative. The weather was great when we were there so we didn't need to use the heating system. Would definitely return to Moss Tarn if we were going to visit the Lake District again.
−Not a dislike and this has been pointed out by others but it is worth noting that access to the beds in the loft area can be tricky if you are not very mobile. It took a day or two for us to get used to it, but once mastered it was fine. It adds to the character and charm of the place.

“Modern home”
+Moss tarn was perfect for our stay. Nice and close to town, walkable. All the conveniences, modern and comfortable.
−The ladder type stairs would not suit everyone. Parking was a little tricky to find. No garden space.

“Ulverston is a fantastic place and Moss Tarn is the perfect place to stay.”
+Location was perfect, a superb base for a stay in Ulverston. Moss Tarn itself is a lovely building and great place to stay. The living room was very large and had very good entertainment facilities (music/TV etc) and the kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with food and drink. Furnishings were of very high quality in all rooms. Superb shower room. We went for a historic cycling event, Moss Tarn is very close to town centre and has great storage facility for bikes.
−Be very careful in the mezzanine bedroom - there are very low beams and I banged my head almost as soon as I got in there.
