“Good location and comfortable enough but don't expect too much”
+The location was very good. Close to the station and also to the city centre.
−The description on the booking.com site. It didn't specify that the studio was at the top of the house and very narrow stairs - I found out the details on the morning that I checked in. I had heavy luggage so it was difficult to get it upstairs. The flat was very poorly equipped. There was no shower mat for outside the shower; no tea towels for drying up; a very tatty, unhygienic sponge; no cloths to clean the microwave or work surfaces; no oven gloves for getting things out of the microwave; no utensils for serving food. The flat was not as clean as it should be given that I was charged a cleaning fee.

“Affordable Room in West Oxford close to train station.”
+Good Location for the train station which was my requirement. There are pubs, bakeries and supermarkets in the area. You would need to walk a bit for the city centre, but you would pay much less than for the city centre. Contactless check-in and check-out well implemented so no problem if you arrive late at night. Just remember to have your phone charged or have good memory for the entry code. Good sized bathroom, comfortable bed. Smart TV in the room. Fan provided. Weak point is the kitchen facilities (see below), however for business travellers on a budget requiring to be close to the train station or West Oxford for 5 days or less, this would be a very competitive option against a hotel.
−The cooking and eating space is a bit cramped, you have a microwave, a small fridge, kettle with complimentary tea bags, and a set of cutlery, dishes. You have to eat on the same table that functions as a desk, that is quite small. In my view, "Executive Room" would be a better description for the place instead of "Studio", because the latter implies there is a kitchenette.

“A bit grim, a bit dusty, but well located.”
−It felt unclean and grotty. Previous reviews (which I didn’t see when booking!) mentioned bedbugs and while I didn’t actually see bedbugs I felt on edge about them the whole time because everything was just a bit grotty. There wasn’t even a bin. It could be a decent apartment if they cleaned it up a bit.

“2 nts in Oxford in poor accommodation”
+Good location near station and only 15 mins to city. We did have a fan
−Small. Noise upstairs and neighbours. Tired and down at heel - needs painting (especially woodwork). Outside patio area covered in weeds - a disgrace ! Grotty !! Very uninviting. Would Not go back. It did a job !!

−Odeur d'humidité dans le le logement. Traces de dégâts des eaux au plafond. La douche ne marchait pas. Le logement était très bruyant : on entendait beaucoup les voisins à côté et au-dessus. La maison comportait plusieurs logements mais l'insonorisation n'était pas appropriée. Le chauffage ne marchait pas, alors que le temps était froid et humide. Rien n'est prévu pour stocker les bagages, sauf le hall d'entrée accessible à tous les occupants.
