+It was a beautiful site . Lived up to everything as advertised. The house was lovely with attention to details.
−We would have done more but booking was a little complicated. Plus we were slightly out of season.

+Well where do I begin....absolutely beautiful inside and out. Due to its remote location I was worried that I may get lost trying to find it but it was very easy to find. It's set in beautiful grounds and is so secluded and peaceful. As we entered the house it so lovely and warm as the owner had very kindly left the heating on for us! It was very clean all round and the beds were comfortable. The front bedroom overlooked the front garden with views across to lake windemere. The shower in the bathroom was nice and powerful and even had LED strip lights underneath the bath, which was a nice touch. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to make a meal if you choose. We were also greeted with a welcome hamper with local produce from their own farmshop. My hubby tells me the coffee was amazing! It had a washing machine and tumble dryer out the back of the kitchen which was extremely handy after a day of walking around Buttermere and getting covered in mud! At the bottom of the garden was a small river which was lovely to listen to with no other noise around. +Everything! A perfect cottage in a perfect location. The cottage is comfortable and furnished with everything one could need. The location is divine with a soundtrack of birdsong. We loved our stay and will certainly return.

“Great location for proximity to the race HQ for The Lap. Peaceful setting, nice cottage.”
+Super cottage in a peaceful location near to Windermere (lake, not town!) and, for us, extremely convenient for getting to the start of The Lap at Low Cunsey Farm. Less than a ten-minute walk! Owners dealt promptly with a maintenance issue when the outer door handle fell apart at 2.00am as we returned from our ultra event; we couldn't get in straightaway, but they sent a maintenance chap round the next morning.
