+Showers, kitchen and facilities, location (but near to noisy nightclubs).
−No blind in bathroom window. Lack of towels for 3 night stay. Step into en suite was dangerous in the dark. Spare double bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom and en suite light bullbs need replacing. Accommodation has a musty smell, needs a deep clean.

“Best location as well as best apartment”
+One of the best apartments that we have had the pleasure in staying - so easy to walk from and to the railway station and so easy to walk to and from the city centre. Everything was at hand including the local grocery store which was only a few doors down the street. The host was very attentive as well as accommodating our needs for an early entry.

“Incredible lodging that far exceeded my expectations!”
+AMAZING PLACE! Oh my goodness I can't say enough good things about Micklegate Residence. The space was so much larger than I'd expected with incredible views of beautiful old buildings. It was clean and absolutely gorgeous, with lovely old beams in the living room that added incredible character. The location is fantastic, within walking distance to the train station and the city center. We didn't want to leave. Our family of five adults were extremely comfortable and would absolutely stay again! The hosts were highly responsive to all of my questions as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

+Easy access to town centre. Olde rustic beamed character flat, spacious lounge, comfy bed, good shower and well equipped kitchen. Clean and well maintained.
−The flat, though being very good accommodation, has a tight stairwell access and stairs that the infirm, would find challenging. An extra house key would be a welcome addition to staying guests. The only real issue with our stay was the incessant noise of the urban seagulls which disturbed our sleep each night from 04.30.am each day of our stay. This is a city authority issue which we hope the residence company will take up as it was the only detrimental issue from our stay.

+Beautiful appartment with historical charm in a great area, centrally situated, spacious and with all the amenities promised. We would have given it a perfect score except for the luggage misunderstanding and policy.
−Wouldn’t allow us to leave luggage before check in, which was late. The Appartment contact suggested we could leave luggage at a place that had gone out of business. The contact had said leaving luggage would cost a pound a bag. It cost us 7 pounds a bag. We had to leave luggage when we arrived and we left. We had 10 bags for 5 of us. One checked bag and one carry on each. Left Luggage even charged 7 pounds for small bags. We ended up spending 140 pounds for leaving luggage at Left Luggage before and after trip. We would have appreciated knowing this before hand.
