10.0“Amazing cabin and great owners!”
+Staying at Merrynook was truly an exceptional experience. This warm and cozy cabin near the giant sequoias comes with all the amenities you need. Right from the start there is the amazing artwork created by the owner on every wall. In addition, a vast collection of books like I have ever seen in a rental! The kitchen offers all the tools we needed, as we cooked every night. Bedrooms have comfortable beds and linens. The bathroom is large with a fabulous clawfoot tub. The garden with local fauna is artistic and whimsical. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in the mountains!

10.0“Contemplative mountain retreat bordering Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks”
+This place is a throwback that invites you to relax, take in the scenery, and read a book. It puts you in a perfect mood for a trip to the nearby national parks. There is no TV. There are hundreds of pieces of art, big and small, and just as many books to browse, coupled with cozy reading nooks in every room. The front and back patios and even the laundry room complete the feeling of being surrounded by art. The house is also extremely comfortable and quiet.

10.0“Very close to park and such a crafty comfortable house.”
+This place was great. Beds were comfy, the house and super cute with crafty decorations all around. There was two bedrooms and a third small room with a bed on the floor. All of them were comfortable. It was very close to the park entrance, about 15-20 min drive. The host was very kind and helpful for anything we might need. The kitchen was fully stocked very well with pots, utensils of every kind, condiments, spices, oil etc. We really enjoyed our stay. It was great for the four of us with two adults and two kids. Could have easily fit at least two more with a pullout sofa bed too.
−We honestly didn't have any issues with our stay.

9.0“Great!”
+Picked this location as we planned to visit Kings Canyon. However, during our stay we ended going to Sequoia NP, which took about 1 hour to get to. The owners warned us well in advance that the 245 was closed. The house had everything we wanted. There was also still a lot that we could use from people who visited before us (olive oil, spices, etc). As a musician, I appreciated a lot that the piano was still reasonably well tuned.
−No dissapointments. Everything that could have been dissapointing was well communicated (like the road closure).

+The cabin is very well appointed and had literally everything we needed. The library is extremely impressive, the kitchen had all the things we required.
−The only problem we encountered was the closure of highway 245. Instead of being 10 minutes away from the park, the cabin ended up being 30 minutes away. Obviously, this is no fault of the cabin itself and as soon as 245 reopens, it'll be back to being 10 minutes away.
