“Would recommend Meldon View for a short stay in the centre of Chagford.”
+Florence was nice and friendly. The place clean, neat and tidy. Good value. Located in centre of town. Adequate provisions provided for stay. Beds comfortable and the main bedroom super king size. Large private balcony with a nice view.
−Parking outside for 2hrs only. Free parking was a little way down a steep hill. Lots of stairs, could be difficult for people with impaired mobility issues. Main bedroom vanity chair would benefit from having wheels fitted, making it much easier to move. Towels provided were small, no large bath sheet towels for adults bathing and showering. The shower isn't a power shower.

“Overall Mellon View was very good and we would book it again.”
+There was a lot to like about Mellon View. Its location, the quality of the fixtures and furnishings, the terrace and the view. The whole flat was very clean.
−There were some small things that niggled. No roasting dish to put food onto in the oven, no egg cups.No BBC channels for the first night .This was put right by Florence the next day.. The three piece suite in the lounge was old and uncomfortable

+Very nicely designed apartment in a beautiful old building. Super comfy beds. Everything needed in kitchen. Great roof terrace with a lovely view.

+Great location in the centre of the village. Cosy and attractive apartment. Nice view of Meldon Hill. Comfortable bed.
−This is very much knit picking. Fridge in landing. No vegetables knife in the kitchen. Confusing what to do with rubbish collection.

“Beautiful Chagford.”
+The bedrooms were all clean and well presented, nice white bedding and even though we didn't use the kitchen facilities for more than a cup of tea it looked like it had most things someone would need to cook a basic meal. The local area with 4 pubs also makes for a very social stay. Bathroom had a good shower with decent water pressure just a slightly slow draining tub.
−The furniture in the living room, even though in keeping with the age of the property, felt outdated & was definitely well worn. My personal preference would be to have some newer, more comfortable sofas, but its not a deal breaker on the apartment.
