+The hosts Marie and her mother are wonderful people. Nothing was too hard for them. They offered to change the room for us as the stairs was a fitness challenge for us. They offered their own bus ticket and helped us arrange car hire when we chose to. The villa is up a hill, but not very steep. A few meters down the hill, there are supermarkets, take aways and a beach across the road.

“If you wanna feel calmness you should stay at Marie hotel 🙂”
+The owner was so welcoming 🙂 1. She met me at the airport, drove to home and took me back in 2 weeks🙂 2. She explained how to travel on the Seychelles, how to use the transport card. Marie helped me to top up my card. 3. She cleaned my room regularly and every time put the iguans toy on the blanket 😃😃 4. There are a lot of brochures in English and German. 5. I was suprised every time when she gave me some fruits like mango and avocado 6. The room was big and the kitchen equipment also been offered 7. There were not any problems with hot and cold water🙂 8. Once I had a sunburnt she helped me with aloe vera and coconut water🙂🙂 Next time I will stay at Marie hotel only!!! P.S. Location was comfortable for me! The place was not crowdy and noisy! Very close to the airport and nearest bus stop! Rum factory is a 10-minute walk away Marie, I really appreciate your service🙂🙂

+A welcoming and available host Very well-equipped home for a comfortable stay in Mahé (dishes and cutleries, AC, hair dryer, umbrella, etc) Amazing view from the balcony
−Door and window gaps allowing the geckos and ants to come inside (local nature obviously but can be managed) The untarred road from the main one to Maison Marikel, used also by other homes in the area, is unmanaged and can be hard to cross by car

“Excellent stay at Maison Marikel”
+The location was very convenient placed. Restaurants and markets close by. The space was very comfortable and you have everything you need for cooking meals. The view is really beautiful. Marie was excellent, very helpful, very responsive and even helped us booking a car (which I recommend for visiting the island). The first day when we arrived my husband was having an allergic reaction and Marie offered us fresh ginger and lemon from the garden. The house was also supplied with water and fresh fruits from the garden. I highly recommend this place! We would stay here again on a visit to the Seychelles!
−Nothing! The road was slightly damaged due to rain - not their fault, just an FYI for guests with cars!

“Calm and cosy”
+Great apartments, clean and cousy! Calm district, shops and places to eat are located nearby. The host is very nice and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay here!

“A jewel on Mahé. Fell in love with the garden”
+Nothing negative to say. I absolutely loved the garden and how quiet the neighborhood was at night . The little kitchenette was perfect for breakfast. WiFi was good too. Hot water always running. Marie was very nice and efficient. Sadly we did not see her upon departure to thank her and say good bye.It was a pleasure to stay there. I felt at home.
−-Not a big deal for me but just take note that the upper apartment has no tv. For me i do not mind at all so it's not a negative -The shower door may be difficult to get through if you have a protruding belly or you're very big. The door slides halfway only. Me being a plump lady managed ok. The average person with some fat will be okay but just be careful. An obese person unfortunately will get stuck.
