“Cosy Homely Lodge”
+A lovely lodge, very clean and spacious. The lodge had everything we needed for a 5 night stay self catering. The hot tub was fab after long days exploring Northumberland, and it was cleaned by staff early every morning (they don't knock on, they just come around the side path and to the back, which isn't an issue, but something to be aware of if you are up early or have a dog that barks) Helen the owner was very accommodating and helpful with anything we needed and called once we arrived to check if everything was ok. We were also left a gift of wine and crisps which was really kind and a nice treat after a 4 hour drive. One thing to be aware of, the plug next to the dining table in the kitchen connects the wifi to the lodge. I unplugged it to sit and dry my hair, woops! We did venture to the pub on site, but didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. The pub was a little soulless and cold, so we didn't stay for a drink. Maybe it's better during the summer months, we visited in Sept. All in all, a really nice cosy lodge, very well thought out to feel like a home away from home with books, toys for kids and games etc. The hot tub area is lovely and private surrounded by trees a
−Not a moan, as completely a personal preference, but the pillows in the bedroom were absolutely enormous and super firm. If you prefer a softer pillow, it may be worth bringing your own with you.

+Lovely lodge, friendly owners very helpful and kept me up to date on everything, well looked after, private and peaceful location. Extremely clean thought of everything you might need.
−Bed was a bit unconformable for me as I have major knee and hip problems but the sofa made up for that.

+The property was nice comfortable and homely and very close to the horse saloon the hot tub was fab as well we loved everything about it and got the most comfortable double bed av ever had when been away

“Beautiful stay - thank you x”
+The lodge was clean, peaceful and tranquil. Had everything we needed for home away from home. Very cosey and well needed break. The lodge was decorated lovely for Halloween. Hot tub was bliss and a perfect way to relax. We have already booked to return!!
−It's not a dislike by any means but potentially a nice touch, something such as some milk or bread would be a very pleasant touch after a long drive, however we understand this isn't always feasible.

+We loved the lodge have been here before and this is the best lodge we have stayed in so far nice and peaceful ,lovely and private ,hot tub was fantastic will definitely be back some time in the future
−The only thing was having to turn the boiler on every time you wanted to have a shower
