9.0+A beautiful place done to a high standard with very cony beds and overall a frat ambience. Location excellent for walks and meals in Castleton. Would definitely stay again. We all felt so relaxed
−Kitchen could have done with some of the basics. Salt pepper , oil. And storage for clothes was difficult

10.0+Lovely quaint cottage in the heart of Castleton, with lots of nooks and crannies, and everything there that we could wish for. Our Jack Russell appreciated the treats jar and there were plenty of places to walk her straight from the cottage, as well as over Mam Tor and Lose Hill. Very good & reasonably priced dining in the Castleton pubs. We only had three days but it felt like a relaxing week away.

10.0“Wonderful quaint cottage in the heart of the peaks”
+The location is perfect for wandering around Castleton and visiting the peak district. The cottage is so quaint, each room is beautiful and the decor is wonderful. The hosts are very communicative and give a lot of information. They were also very understanding when we had travel issues. There is off-street parking for 3 cars (jack and jill parking) which is useful in the busy season given its location.

8.0“A perfect place for a luxurious stay in the Peak District with friends”
+We loved Lodge Cottage! The house has been tastefully modernised, retaining the charm of the original building. Location is right in the centre of Castleton, with private parking a huge bonus. Beds, bed linen, towels were all immaculate.
−I’m struggling to find anything negative. An additional bin in the kitchen for recycling would have been welcome.

10.0“Great property, great location, great are - will be back for sure”
+The cottage is 10/10. Each room is beautiful, there are so many unique features, the location is brilliant, the town has great hospitality, and the host was great. We will definitely return
−The only very minor thing is the lack of garden space. But this really does not matter given the location. There is is also a small courtyard

10.0“Lincoln group”
+Plenty of character in the house, large dining room table and lounge, the showers were excellent as was the toiletries, my family all had a great time and would return,
−Nothing really to dislike, could do with a little more worktop in the kitchen for preparing meals, if I wanted to find fault

10.0“First class, central, cottage in Castleton.”
+Very large property, with a lot of quirky nooks and crannies. Plenty of room for our family. A well stocked kitchen with plenty of crockery. The dishwasher was fully utilised and it was great to see so much provided, even down to coffee pods. There is the potential to use three log burners and although this June was pretty dismal the heating into the property was perfectly adequate. (Fire lighters were the only thing missing). The water pressure is excellent as were the showers. The location of the cottage meant you were ideally located for everything in Castleton and we didn’t use our vehicles over the weekend.
−A reminder to those of us that stand 6 foot tall and beyond - the property was built in the 1500’s and no doubt inhabited by hobbits - watch out for the low doorways - we had three ‘bangs’ over the weekend.
