“Great sunny getaway.”
+The apartment was large with a good balcony. The view from the balcony was great with a table and chairs. We had a gas hob which was fortunate as there was an electricity cut on Monday, but we were still able to cook. It was great having a clock on the cooker. The location was brilliant near to the marina, beach and shops.
−We had WiFi but no internet. Therefore not able to pick up messages. Went to the train station to get a signal The TV only had 5 channels, but only one in English if there was a signal, which we only had 50% of the time.

“Disappointing”
+The apartment is within a 10 minute walk of the marina and a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction, will bring you to the beach. Nearest supermarket Pingo Doce is 20 minute walk and there are no local shops nearby.
−Our start to the holiday was not good as the instructions for the location of the apartment did not include the block number, or the access code. Tried contacting owner and had no success, only for a very nice gentlemen explaining there is 3 blocks with 2F in them and organising to get us the code, we would have felt scammed. No code either in apartment for access to the pool area. We had to ask a resident for this. The standard of the apartment is very basic the equivalent of 2*. Beds extremely uncomfortable and outside furnishings poor. Minimum cutlery and crockery in the kitchen. The hot water would not work when we arrived nor Internet. Water was sorted the following day, Internet took a few days as it is a PAYG and landlord had to come over as we couldn't manage to get it to connect with the clothes peg that was holding the battery in. Could have potential if the landlord invested in the property and used a professional managing agent.
