“Beautiful family break”
+The view from the property was spectacular. Loved the games provided at the property to have after dinner fun. Great location as a base to explore the Island. Only half an hour from Portree supermarket though the local store does have a lovely selection. The rooms and beds are comfortable and lovely decorated. Good drawer and cupboard space. Good selection of pots and pan, crockery and cutlery. Saw Heron several times a day fishing with a seal turning up a few times. Watching the sheep come and go from the little island in the loch out side was amusing. The bait shop Owner was helpful, friendly and gave some good suggestions of places to go. We did some fishing on the floating pier up the road next to a lovely playground across from the church. The old school restaurant has lovely food and also provides take away. We also had some nice food from The Misty that also provides some take away. We cooked most of our meals in the cottage. One thing to bear in mind is the midge does not fly if the breeze is over 2mph and to avoid opening windows around dusk and dawn. And if you do walk out in that time to have good insect repellent if there is no good breeze.
−Unfortunately the electic showers was dying during our stay. The agent was working on replacing and plumber who we met was personable and was trying to get a replacement before the end of our stay.
