“Loved, loved, loved it! Beautiful place to rest after touring around Corfu!”
+Mary keeps this place spotlessly clean and what you see in the pictures is what you get when visiting. The patio furniture has changed since original listing pictures, but other than that everything you see in the listing is pretty spot on. They are caring for and maintaining this property and you can feel the pride of ownership as soon as you walk through the doors. The air conditioners work great! The entire family are beautiful hosts and their hospitality goes above and beyond. This was such an authentic Greek experience and all in our group LOVED staying here!! Paleokastrista is just a 10 minute drive away. At the end of the walkway is a little village market to grab anything you may need quickly. There are also 3 places to eat right in the town square. Mary lives just across from the cottage and is quickly available to help you with anything that may come up. I would absolutely love to come and stay again. Thank you Mary for such a beautiful experience.
−This was no problem for us, but worth a mention for others. You cannot drive a car up to the door, you will have to park in public parking as displayed in her pictures and walk with your luggage to the place. If you are not a light packer, be prepared for a workout. 😄Also, there is a note to not flush toilet paper down the toilet, if this is something you can't respect, it's probably best to stay somewhere else to avoid causing the owners issues with their plumbing.

“Best in Corfu”
+Beautiful property, in a small local town with very generous and welcoming people. My favorite accommodation on our 3 month Euro trip. You get to feel like a local in Doukades with three of the best tavernas on the island less than 100m away, and a stones throw to Paleokastritsa. Having a car is essential but if your considering this accommodation you’re in the right place. Mary goes above and beyond what we would expect of a host. Would love to come back here

“This is a great space to stay with family and children!”
+The host contacted us proactively and provided guidance on how to find the place, where to park, etc. When we arrived, the Kidoni cottage house was perfectly cleaned. The living room with kitchen is spacious and very well-equipped, including spices, plenty of water, and some extra goods like spices and local products. There are two bathrooms which is very convenient. The terrace has a great view of the mountain. Very quiet and calm place to stay, just two minutes from the village square. I always managed to find a parking space on the parking.
−There is very little to share here. The smallest bathroom is really small and may be inconvenient for more prominent people. Cleaning is not included and requires additional arrangements with the host (on the positive side, additional cleaning was impeccable). The terrace may be windy in the early evening. Finding a free parking space may require some patience (but I have never struggled to find a space). The streets of the village are narrow; it may be challenging for more inexperienced drivers.

“A charming retreat amidst genuine authenticity”
+Very tastefully refurbished, Mary has a keen eye for detail and is a lovely host. She offered to help even before our holiday started. Upon our arrival, we found local specialities in our fridge. Many thanks for Mary's help to rent a boat - everything was more than perfect

“Wonderful stay in Kidoni Cottage”
+Kidoni Cottage is located in the tiny town Doukades not far away from nice beaches - there is a local atmosphere and good restaurants, a small food store and a parking area. Kidoni Cottage is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The hosts are very helpful to make sure that you have a wonderful stay.

“A beautiful place to stay with an amazing host to go with it!”
+The property had everything we needed and was so pretty and spacious inside. Mary had left a fridge with food for us for the week including figs from her own tree and food for sandwiches! The views from the balcony were amazing and the neighbourhood felt very safe and welcoming. We met Mary and some of her family during our stay and they were some of the nicest people we met during our trip! Communication was great as we had some delays with our rental car but Mary ensured someone would be able to help us check in, find a car park, etc making everything so much smoother. Mary also gave us food recommendations and even let us stay past check out on the last day as no one was staying after us - this made our day a lot less stressful and gave us more time to enjoy the property. This was one of the highlights of our trip and we would definitely stay here again!
