8.0+A great cottage to stay in. Had everything you could possibly need, with fresh milk etc. in fridge, lovely shower gel and shampoo. Taxi Rank just outside (note, no taxis there on Sundays). Bus station across the road. Few minutes walk into town. I would have given it 10 out of 10, except for the stairs. I have a problem climbing up stairs and the stairs in the cottage are quite steep, so I struggled a bit but managed and didn't detract from enjoying our stay. Not a negative for the cottage, just a bit of a warning to anyone who, like myself, struggles with stairs. Hosts really friendly and even offered us a lift back to the Train Station at the end of our holiday.

9.0“A lovely property in a great location in the town”
+Great property, clean, comfortable with everything required and more. Lots of extras such as lovely soaps, body wash and lotion. A lovely little outside garden t00
−Nothing at all with the property, the parking in Penrith is a bit of a pain. The hosts supply a token for the residents hour which is great and there is a longer stay car park close by, but even with the app it meant an early start

9.0“Very well equipped town centre cottage.”
+Lots of nice extra touches and very well equipped. Very tastefully decorated. Great location within a couple of mins walk of town centre but still quiet. Ideal base to explore the Lake District area.
−A black out blind is needed on the smaller bedroom skylight as it is very bright early in the summer with the current white pull curtain.

10.0“A hidden gem in Penrith”
+Joiners cottage is a hidden gem in Penrith town centre. The cottage is very very clean and it’s been renovated to a modern style but still has some original beams and it’s all nicely furnished with comfy sofas, super comfy beds and bedding and it’s warm and cosy which is just what we needed during a cold spell in May. There are lots of good food shops in Penrith and we visited Cranstons food hall on the outskirts of town and bought some lovely lamb that we cooked in the cottage kitchen no problem plenty of kitchenware. The cottage location couldn’t be better for us, two minutes walk to the town and lots of pubs, bars and restaurants and two minutes walk to the bus station where we caught a bus to Keswick. Good communication from Sarah the host and she recommended places to eat and drink which we found very easily. Joiners cottage was a perfect relaxing stay for us and we’d love to return soon.

10.0“A great find”
+The property was immaculate, comfortable, warm and really well equipped. Everything we needed was there. It was in a good, quiet location.
−There is free parking very close which is great overnight but after 8am you have to keep moving the car every hour or paying to put it in a carpark also close by.
