“A very comfortable stay in a beautiful part of Northumberland.”
+Allendale was lovely and close to Hexham. The property was very comfortable and we enjoyed staying there. It was not as close to Hadrian's Wall as I would have liked, but that was my judgement and not a reflection on the property. The area is stunning.
−A lot of properties supply a selection of books to read. The kitchen was not as well stocked as I have experienced elsewhere too, e.g. a pan lid was missing, utensils were not as robust as I would have liked and the range of condiments very limited.

+I liked the space of the property, it had everything we needed in terms of facilities
−We booked a stay for 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom unit and were given one towel per person and told we were not allowed to wash the linen. We didn’t receive the email for the key code and tried calling finally got through to the after hours emergency line and got the code, we never heard from them again until we received and email asking to to advise our departure time down to the half hour. We advised 11 regardless as that’s the time of checkout when booking. The property was a little run down and could have used a proper clean

+Very well furnished . We think the property could Give more privacy if it had net curtains in The living room and bedrooms
−The owners need to be advised that there appears to be a drainage water leak from the property into the side road . This did not affect our stay

“Comfortable and well located.”
+Lovely, clean, well appointed property. Very comfortable. My wife was especially happy with the water pressure in the shower!! Location is brilliant and there is a destination charger across the road and some lovely café options too.

−Back garden is not very private although unfortunately the weather was not good enough to sit outside.

+The property is well appointed. There is everything you need to be able to Enjoy your stay. Very clean. It is a very nice village and was just perfectly located for the things we wanted to do.
−The only criticism is the beds. They looked inviting but both my sister and I both had terrible nights sleep. Her bed in the main bedroom has a big dip in the middle of the bed. I was in the other room. It felt like you were rolling out was okay in the middle but then if you turned onto your side you rolled. The pillows on both beds looked plumed and supportive. But when you put your head on them they went flat. I have a terrible stiff neck. My sister bad back and hips. I think I might have mentioned the beds a few years back when I stayed before. That was the only fault about whole of the property.
