“This apartment is a place to remember!”
+I 2 Capitani is a beautiful apartment, with an interesting history, amazing painted ceilings, beautiful antiques, a comfortable bed, a well-stocked kitchen (complete.with snacks, water, and a beer in the refrigerator), a sitting room, and a small patio with a table and chairs. Giovanni was exceptionally responsive, and so helpful with information about trains and buses to Taormina & Catania, and a tour of Mt. Etna! The added bonus of foot massages for both my husband and me was very unique and memorable (but guests are advised to arrange this before the last minute, because Giovanni also has a regular job.) Giovanni went out of his way to make us feel comfortable.

+Giovanni is absolutely gorgeous. He filled the fridge with refeeshments, beer, milk, juices, coffee, jam, local great cookies. His website and suggestions for Riposto, Etna and surrounding visits were so useful and to the point. He gave us such a relaxing reflexology foot massage, as a real professional. Giovanni also organised a car transfer to the train station for us. We really felt as visiting relatives, such a hospitality we never experienced. The apartment is spacious, with high ceilings painted with murals in local style. The history of the captain house is also adding to its character. It is recently renovated and so well equipped with amenities, kitchenware, and all others necessities, that were all at all disposal, so we felt as at home. The location is very central, just behind the cathedral, near to market, marina, restaurants, bars and close to the mixed volcano sand and pebble beach. The nighview towards Etna eruptions were very exciting and memorable. Overall a wonderful stay!

“11/10! Absolutely amazing apartment with the friendliest host, located in the cutest small town.”
+Everything was absolutely fabulous. The apartment was perfect , spacious, luxurious, historical (the ceiling is gorgeous!!), equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. We really appreciate how quiet it was at night and the bed was very comfortable, we had great sleep there. Also, the apartment has a fascinating history connected to the host’s family, we loved learning about it. There was so much attention to detail, with many thoughtful complementary touches that made the stay feel very special. Giovanni was incredibly helpful and friendly, and came across as such a warm and genuine person , we really enjoyed meeting him and felt so welcome here. The location of the apartment is in the heart of a beautiful authentic small town, which was so refreshing after crowded touristy areas we visited before. Great local food, friendly people, no overcrowding, everything just felt like a real deal. It was a perfect base for exploring Etna and the eastern side of Sicily by car. Honestly, we are so happy we chose to stay here. If I could, I'd give it 11/10. Thank you so much, Giovanni. All the best, and we would absolutely love to come back in the future.

“Impressive”
+We had such a great stay in Riposto at Il Capitano Apartments with Giovanni! Everything was perfect , the place is beautiful, full of charm and history, and really well looked after. Giovanni is an amazing host. He pays attention to every little detail , the fridge was full of tasty Italian food, there was great coffee, and honestly, he had thought of everything. We didn’t expect so much, it was a really nice surprise! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and Giovanni was always there to help if we needed anything. You can tell he really cares about his guests. It was honestly one of the best experiences of our whole trip. We felt comfortable, happy, and very well looked after. Highly recommend staying here!

“Best place to be in sicilia”
+The facilities (washing machine and cleaning products/ kitchen well equipped) The terrasse The fridge was full or food (jam butter water tea nutella Pepsi yogurt juice...) coffee.... Like in a hotel the host provided towels shampoo shower gel body lotion... The host turned on the AC before we checked in to make sure that the temperature was perfect for us The authentic atmosphere and painting in the walls The host is very helpful and kind. He offered us a gift before leaving. He helped us find a car to rent. The location near the sea and many restaurants around

“Exceptional”
+A very spacious and authentic apartment with everything you need. Giovanni is a wonderful host - incredibly hospitable! I can highly recommend him to everyone. He welcomed our family with warm cakes and arancini - we were pleasantly surprised :) He was very helpful with everything, from accommodating our late check-in (11 p.m.) to allowing a late check-out.

“Just perfect”
+This place was the best place we have stayed in Italy and we have been in Italy for two months. This place is simply amazing and the host is the kindest and most generous person you could possibly have as a host. Amazing host and beautiful house. There is absolutely nothing that is needed for a comfortable stay and Giovanni the host has not provided. The house is a beautiful historic house with painted ceiling and heaps of character. It is located right in the centre and few mins walk to the beach. The place is spotless clean, lovely and comfortable. If you get offered the free foot massage, please note that it would be the best foot massage you could possibly have.
−It is impossible to not like something about this property. It is simply amazing.

“Tolle Basis mitten an der sizilianischen Ostküste”
+Einzigartige schön renovierte historische Räume. Im Zentrum von Riposto und unbezahlbarem sizilianischen Flair. Unser Gastgeber war sehr entgegenkommend und außergewöhnlich freundlich. Er macht alles dass es einem dort gut geht.
